वाचन संस्कृतीचा महतवपूर्ण संस्कार म्हणजे व्रुत्त पत्रीय अग्रलेखांचे वाचन व्रुत्तपत्रीय अग्रलेखांचे महत्त्व स्पर्धा परीक्षेत सहभागी होणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांना अनन्यसाधारण महत्व असते अग्रलेखांचे वाचन विद्यार्थ्यांना समसामायिक घडामोडींचा आढावा घेण्यात महत्त्वाचे असते हा विचार करून महाविद्यालयातील ग्रंथालयातर्फे व्रुत्तपत्रीय अग्रलेख वाचन व सारग्रहण स्पर्धेचे आयोजन करण्यात दिनांक १२ आगस्ट रोजी सकाळी ११:३० वाजता करण्यात आले आहे तरी विद्यार्थ्यांना सदर स्पर्धेत सहभागी होण्याचे आवाहन ग्रंथालय सल्लागार समिती तर्फे करण्यात येत आहे.
