We take the honour of inaugurating the Assamese translation of Mamang Dai's The Black Hill by Diganta Saikia, an illustrious alumnus and faculty member of the department.

Congratulations to our alumna Dristi Narayan on clearing UGC NET!

Two of our alumni Ms Arpana Tar and Ms Gupika Nanda Kutum cleared UGC NET (Dec 2021-June 2022) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). They are completing their postgraduate courses in ENGLISH from Assam Women's University and Cotton University respectively. We wish them a bright future!

Our alumnus Mr. Anupom Kumar Hazarika from 2010-2013 batch joins the prestigious Cotton University as an Assistant Professor. Heartfelt congratulations to him!
