‘ A day full of colours ! A day full of excitement ! A day full of wishes ! Yes , it’s Holi ! A day to rejoice in love ! Happy Holi ‘ !
To celebrate this festival of colours , the students of the Early Years Section ( Nur -P2 ) put up a meaningful Programme in the School Quadrangle with immense fervour . The significance of the festival was discussed wherein a skit was performed to propogate the message of good over evil . The dances & the song were both upbeat & energetic & the ambience added to the conducive spirit .
The Principal , Mrs Manju Mehra , enumerated Life’s Lessons learnt from the festival of Holi ,
‘ Burn your negative thinking ,
Keep your faith in God during a difficult situation - Persevere ,
Forgive & Forget ,
Enjoy your relationships ‘.
She advised all to play a safe Holi using natural & not chemical colours & not to waste water .
Her message to the students ,
‘ I wish you are blessed with confidence , knowledge & joy’ !
Her message to the teachers & parents ,
‘May the beautiful colours of Holi brighten your life with new energy & hope & may you have a bright future full of colourful opportunities ‘ !
She applauded the little enthusiastic performers & the organising team comprising of Ms Neha ,Ms Priyanka , Ms Rajshree & Ms Rekha .
Some students expressed their love by applying dry colours to the foreheads of all present .
The dominant idea behind the joyful celebration was to spread the message of harmony !

Yash Singhal - Class P5 has secured the 4th position in the International Hindi Olympiad and is a proud recipient of a trophy and a certificate . These were awarded to him today ie on 12 February , 2023 over a Special Ceremony at C.D. Deshmukh Auditorium, India International Centre, New Delhi.
We are proud of our young Achiever ! We also acknowledge the effort of our HOD Hindi , Ms Renu , for guiding & training him for the same !

The Modern School, Ghaziabad celebrated the Annual Sports Day on 11th February, 23 amidst a lot of zest and fanfare . The Chief Guest on the occasion was MS SHWETA SETHI SAHNI - INTERNATIONAL GOLD MEDALIST IN COMMON WEALTH POWERLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIP 2017….Modernite Batch 1995 .
Mrs Manju Mehra ,the School Principal , apart from the fun and games aspect, outlined the true value of SPORT in our lives.
SPORT

Of body and of mind. To be resolute and determined
P ..... Perseverance ...
To never give up, to learn from defeat and get up again to try harder next time
O ...Organization.. To be disciplined in timing, in food habits, in training and in work life balance

The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and declared the Meet open . She emphasised upon the fact that Sports at the Modern School are closely intertwined with academics & extracurricular activities & Modern enjoys the glorious distinction of discovering and honing exceptional sporting talent, latent within its students.
The Welcome Song ‘Tum samay ki ret par chodte chalo nishan’ was a befitting prelude in keeping with the Modern Legacy of leaving a mark on every student who passes through its portals .
The Event comprised of an array of Drills & Displays
Nur & KG -Aerobics
P1 &P2 -Taekwondo cm Gymnastics
P3 & P4 -Hoop Drill
Senior Students of P5-SS1 -Yoga , Mass PT , March Past
These were thoughtfully interspersed with both Flat & Fun Races followed by Flat Races for the Parents ,Teachers and the Karamcharis .
With the thoughtfully chosen music & the upbeat & impressive commentary by Ms Sony & Ms Renu there was never a dull moment !
The Winners were awarded Medals and Certificates .Vikram Sarabhai House stood first overall and bagged the Trophy .
A fun-filled ,memorable winter afternoon for sure in which students enthralled their Parents with their energetic performances.
Days of diligent practices and meticulous preparation were apparent !
The Organising Team -Ms Arti , Ms Navjot ,Ms Namita & Mr Vikas ably supported by the Versatile Creative Team -Ms Priyanka Ms Rekha & Ms Rajshree led by the Efficient Coordinators -Ms Deepti , Ms Sony & Ms Swati proved ‘Where there’s a will ,there’s a way’!
The Student Teacher Team proved once again that at Modern the sky is the limit - ‘Perfection cannot be achieved by the weak willed’ !
