National Conference on Emerging Perspectives of Finance and Changing Economic Scenario held at IMS, Ghaziabad on Saturday, February 29, 2020

Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad organized National Conference on ‘Emerging Perspectives of Finance and Changing Economic Scenario’. The hon’ble Chief Guest of this prestigious conference was Sh. Mahesh Munjal, Chairman & Managing Director, Majestic Auto Ltd. while the Keynote speaker was Prof. H.P. Mathur, Allahabad Bank Chair Professor at FMS, BHU.

The conference was jointly inaugurated by the hon’ble Chief Guest Sh. Mahesh Munjal; hon’ble Keynote Speaker Prof. H.P. Mathur; Director, IMS, Ghaziabad Prof. Alok Pandey; Dean Academics Prof. Tapan Kumar Nayak and Conference Chair Prof. Neeraj Sanghi by lighting the lamp before the idol of goddess Saraswati.

During the inaugural address, the hon’ble Chief Guest Sh. Mahesh Munjal appreciated the theme of the Conference and highlighted the importance of policy maker towards changing global economic scenario. He shared important data and his own ideas and experiences on the theme. Keynote Speaker Prof. H.P. Mathur emphasized on how the transformation in economic scenario is making the business leaders more dynamic and adaptive. Prof. Alok Pandey, Director, IMS, Ghaziabad discussed the theme and the purpose of the conference in his enlightening address. He said that such conferences are meant to meet likeminded people from industry and academia, and discuss new trends and opportunities pertaining to the business. Conference Chair Prof. Neeraj Sanghi discussed about the various emerging fields of finance in the challenging economic environment.

The conference highlighted the issues related to the opportunities, challenges and global practices relevant to the development of financial sector including financial markets and services. The conference outcome and recommendations provided insightful directions for effective policies, plans and strategies in the near future for banking, finance, economic and business practices across the globe.

IMS Ghaziabad organizes 2019 :US-India International Case Writing Workshop and welcomes delegates from University of Massachusetts, Boston, USA

Under the patronage of Prof. Ajay K. Jain, Director IMS Ghaziabad, on January 8, 2019, an “International US-India Case Writing Workshop” was organized in the MDP Room. The delegates from University of Massachusetts, Boston , USA and PGDM-IB students( First Year) joined the day long workshop.

Prof. Jain welcomed the visiting delegation led by senior members -Prof. M. L. Agarwal and Prof. Surajit. He highlighted the cross cultural assimilation and its importance in future corporate career. He also underlined the importance of Jainism philosophy in India, which is one of the oldest religion in the world, and how it can make one’s life simpler in this stressful corporate world.

Dr. M. L. Agarwal had an interactive session with the participants from both USA an India, and subsequently presentation was made by group members. Prof. Surajit, Professor of Finance at of , had also shared his views about the work culture and pedagogy of the university with the audience. Finally, Dr. S. K. Dube, Professor & Associate Dean-PGDM IB offered vote of thanks to the distinguished guests
