The Biotechnology Department of IMS Engineering College, Ghaziabad, organized an insightful industrial visit to Venus Remedies Limited, Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) on 28th April, 2006. HoD, Biotechnology, Dr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, along with faculty coordinator (4th year), Dr. Shomini Parashar, led 38 B.Tech. Biotechnology students on this enriching experience that seamlessly combined academic learning with industrial exposure. During the visit, students gained a comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. They observed key stages including dispensing, blending, granulation, compression, and packaging of products. Additionally, they were introduced to the critical roles of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) in ensuring product safety, consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards. The professionals at the facility actively interacted with students and patiently addressed their queries, making the session highly engaging and informative.
The two-day trip extended beyond academics, including an excursion to Solan and Chandigarh, offering students a refreshing break along with experiential learning. This visit proved to be a perfect blend of education and exploration, helping students connect theoretical knowledge with real-time industrial practices. Overall, the trip strengthened the bond between students and the institute, creating lasting memories and inspiring future professionals. It was truly a memorable lifetime experience for all involved.
