Noted by many to be a humble and self-effacing politician, Lal Bahadur Shastri, is considered as a golden legend in the Indian retrospect. His vigorous vision contributed to India's growth from construction of the Food Corporation of India on the way to an eventual ‘Green Revolution’.

Profoundly influenced by the values of Mahatma Gandhi, he paved the path of peace and cooperation, from colonial to post-colonial India. His slogans intrigued the hearts of many, ultimately vanquishing the challenges confronted by the country and uplifting it through strategic responses, revered and reverberating till date.

Team Horizon pays tribute to the man of the values for his endless efforts towards the nation. May his idea prevail as an untiring inspiration to the world.

Sustaining consciousness in his words and simplicity in his actions, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, ‘Father of the nation’, is considered to be the epitome of gratitude and integrity.
Being a lawyer by profession, an anti-colonialist by actions, and above all a humanitarian deep down, he advocated the eradication of untouchability and supported the unity in diversity.

His pacifist approach towards the foreign powers inspired many civil disobedience movements across India with the fusion of massive acts like 'Satyagraha' and 'Dandi march'. Being a pillar of hope, he stood still even in the worst of hardships and influenced millions to follow the path of peace.

On his birth anniversary, Team Horizon reminisces about the impediments and resistance Mahatma Gandhi went through to pave the path for an Independent India. Let's vow to keep embracing the warmth of his valuable teachings and revered ideologies.

Hard work leads to success, and success gives the inspiration of doing hard work. With Hardwork and success going hand in hand, our third-year coordinators, Tanvi Srivastava, Sameer Chhonkar, and Sarthak Gupta have validated this by participating and winning the Smart India Hackathon'22.

Tanvi Srivastava and Sameer Chhonkar along with 6 team members and Anurag Gupta sir as their mentor, won a cash prize of 1 lakh rupees, at nodal center Coimbatore with their problem statement being "assessing visual information (written information) by persons with visual disability".

Sarthak Gupta, under the able guidance of their mentor Pratima ma'am along with his 5 other team members won a cash prize of 50,000 rupees with their problem statement being "understanding and Recognition of Doctor's handwriting and having a centralized app for storing medical records" at nodal center Bengaluru.

Team Horizon extends its heartiest congratulations to them and wishes them the best in their future pursuits. May they be the conqueror of every challenge that life offers them.
