गाजियाबाद। वसुंधरा स्थित मेवाड़ ग्रुप ऑफ इंस्टीट्यूशंस के विवेकानंद सभागार में विद्यार्थी, प्राध्यापक सहित स्टाफ के अन्य सदस्य पारंपरिक योग के शुद्ध स्वरूपों से अवगत हुए। उन्होंने जाना कि किस तरह शारीरिक स्वास्थ्य, मानसिक शान्ति एवं आध्यात्मिक आनन्द प्राप्त कराने वाली योगविद्या का न केवल व्यवसायीकरण किया जा चुका है, बल्कि स्वरूप भी या तो परिवर्तित या विकृत किया जा चुका है। इस लिहाज से विश्व प्रसिद्ध बिहार योग विद्यालय के वरिष्ठ संन्यासी स्वामी शिवराजानंद सरस्वती की उपस्थिति में आयोजित योग सत्र बेहद सफल रहा। साथ ही यह आयोजन योगविद्या के मूल उद्देश्य की झलक मात्र पाने वाले छात्रों के लिए यादगार भी बना। मेवाड़ ग्रुप ऑफ इंस्टीट्यूशंस की ओर से आयोजित इस योग साधना सत्र में विभिन्न विभागों के संकाय सदस्यों के साथ-साथ बड़ी संख्या में विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया। इस मौके पर मेवाड़ की निदेशक डॉ. अलका अग्रवाल की उपस्थिति ने इस कार्यक्रम को विशेष बनाया। उषाकाल ज्ञान फाउंडेशन के संरक्षक एवं आध्यात्मिक पत्रकार किशोर कुमार ने योग विषय की जानकारी दी। यह कार्यक्रम नई दिल्ली स्थित त्यागराज स्टेडियम में आगामी 1, 2 व 3 मई को आधुनिक युग के वैज्ञानिक संत परमहंस स्वामी निरंजनानंद सरस्वती की उपस्थिति में बिहार योग विद्यालय के योग साधना सत्र की तैयारी का भी हिस्सा था। त्यागराज स्टेडियम में योग साधक अध्यात्म में प्रवेश कराए जाने के दृष्टिकोण से अवगत होंगे और व्यावहारिक योग विधियों का अभ्यास भी करेंगे।

The department of Teacher Education conducted a preparatory event - Yoga Nidra and Meditation -for Yoga Sadhana Satra 2026, on 27th April.

The session on Yoga Nidra & Meditation was led by Swami Shivrajananda Saraswati, a senior sanyasi of the Bihar School of Yoga.

During the session, Swamiji not only shared valuable insights on the true essence of yoga but also conducted a practical yoga session. Students actively participated and performed various yoga postures (asanas) under his guidance, making the experience engaging and enriching.

He emphasized the importance of integrating yoga into daily life for achieving physical health, mental peace, and emotional balance. The session also created awareness about the upcoming Yoga Sadhana Satra in New Delhi.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. Alka Agarwal, the director of the institute.The director felicitated Swamiji and extended her gratitude for the wonderful session which promoted a healthy and mindful lifestyle among students.

Mewar Law Institute successfully concluded its Inter-Departmental Presentation Competition on 25th April 2026 at PDP Hall. The event commenced at 11:00 AM with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr. Alka Agarwal, Director of the Institute.

The competition featured student finalists selected after the Intra-Departmental Presentation rounds, who showcased their presentation skills and subject knowledge. A total of 27 students from HSS, B.A. LL.B., and LL.B. participated.

The competition was judged by Mrs. Nandita Upadhyaya, Assistant Professor. The event highlighted academic excellence and encouraged inter-departmental collaboration. The judge provided valuable suggestions, while Dr. Alka Agarwal motivated students to actively participate in co-curricular activities.

In the competition, Tripti Yadav (LL.B 6th Sem.) and Karishma Dhingra (B.A. LL.B. 10th Sem) secured the 1st position.
Neha Verma (LL.B 2nd Sem.) secured the 2nd position, Ashutosh Rastogi (B.A. LL.B. 8th Sem) secured the 3rd position.
The Chairman's Award was given to Shruti Sharma (HSS) and Geetanjali Arora (LL.B).

Faculty members and a large number of students were present at the program.

The Inter Departmental Presentation Competition of even semester of the academic session 2025-2026 was successfully organized at Mewar institute of management on 25 April 2026. The programme commenced with the blessings of the Director , Dr. Alka Agarwal, whose motivating words inspired the participants and set a positive tone for the event.
The finalist shortlisted from the intradepartmental competiton held on 24.4.2026 from various department including BBA, B.Com, B.Ed., D.El.Ed., and BCA participated today.
The Inter Department Final Presentation showcased the talent, creativity, and confidence of the participants. Students presented on a wide range of topics, demonstrating strong subject knowledge and effective communication skills. The participants were judged on the basis of content, clarity, confidence, and presentation style.
The winners of the Inter Department Competition are as follows:
• First Position: Vaishnavi Dangar (BBA , Department of Management)
• Second Position: Nishi verma (BCA Department)
• Third Position: Ayushi jain (B.Ed Department) and Mansi singh (BCA Department)

The competition proved to be highly engaging and provided a valuable platform for students to enhance their presentation and public speaking skills. Dr.Alka Agarwal director of Mewar institute of management appreciated the winner.The programme concluded on a successful note, reflecting the enthusiasm and academic excellence of students across departments.

Department of Corporate Affairs and Placement organized a campus
drive on 23/04/2026 for LL.B and BBA students, conducted by
LOCHAN GROUP. Lochan is a leading Law Firm working on Pan India
basis and dealing in criminal, civil and corporate cases. 30 students
participated in this drive.
Dr. Alka Agarwal, Director of Mewar Institute of Management
motivated the students during her speech for the drive. The drive
was supervised by Mr. Harshvvardhan Head Corporate Affairs.

Department of Corporate Affairs and Placement organized a campus
drive on 21/04/2026, which was conducted by Silaris Group, a one of
the fastest growing companies in India with an employees strength
of 5000. This drive was conducted for BCA and BBA students.
Dr. Alka Agarwal, Director of Mewar Institute of Management
encouraged the students while addressing them. The drive was
supervised by Mr. Harshvvardhan Head Corporate Affairs.

A Campus drive for the Access Intern Program, (Summer Internship) from Times of India Group was conducted on 23rd April, 2026 in the campus, under the guidance of Dr Alka Agarwal, Director, Mewar Institute of Management. The internship program was organised for the students of BBA and B.Com. The Campus drive for the summer training was conducted by Times of India group on 23rd April, 2026 in the Institute campus. Mr Manish Jain from department of Institutional Sales (Times of India), introduced the Times of India group and informed the students about the various flagship companies under the Group and thereafter conducted the interviews. Students of Management & Commerce Department had an informative session with the company representative. Group Discussions and personal interviews were conducted by Mr. Jain and many bright students from both the departments were selected for the Access Intern Program (Summer Internship). The event ended on a positive note and optimism amongst the students of Management and Commerce department.

The Department of Teacher Education organized a highly engaging and insightful hybrid mode guest lecture titled “Mind Matters: Clarity, Confidence, and Coping in a Changing World” on 20th April. The session aimed at promoting self-awareness, career clarity, emotional well-being, and effective coping strategies among students. Head of the Department,Dr Geeta Rani highlighted the importance of mental clarity and emotional strength in today’s fast-changing world in her welcome address.
The resource person for the session was Ms. Kruthika A, Consultant Psychologist and Assistant Professor in Psychology who delivered an enriching and interactive talk. She shared valuable insights on understanding personal strengths, managing stress and overthinking, and developing confidence.She emphasised the importance of career clarity and tips to keep ourself calm. The session was made more engaging through various activities conducted by Ms. Kiruthika, which helped students actively participate and reflect on their thoughts and emotions. After the session, a question-and-answer round was held where students openly discussed their concerns and personal challenges. Ms. Kiruthika addressed their queries with practical suggestions, making the session more relatable and impactful.
Ms. Jaina Sushil, expressed gratitude to the resource person for the wonderful session, the director of the institute, Dr. Alka Agarwal for her constant support, HOD of the department Dr. Geeta Rani for her valuable guidance,faculty members, organizers, and participants for making the event a success.
The session was anchored by Shruti Tyagi, student of B.Ed. second year who ensured the smooth flow of the programme.

Mewar Law Institute, Department of LL.B. (Three-Year Course), successfully organized a Quiz Competition on 18th April 2026 under the esteemed guidance of Respected Director Dr. Alka Aggarwal and was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Sangeeta Kaul (HOD), along with the dedicated support of all faculty members.

Students from all the departments enthusiastically participated in the competition, showcasing their knowledge, critical thinking, and competitive spirit. The event provided an excellent platform for students to assess their academic understanding and broaden their intellectual horizons.

Overall, the competition proved to be highly valuable and enriching experience for all participants.

Department of Computer Science organised a one day Workshop (Python and it's Libraries) on 16/04/2026 , Thursday , at Mewar Institute of Management, Sec-4c , Vasundhara Ghaziabad in order to enhance the knowledge of the students. This enthralling discourse was conducted by ConsultIT Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Greater Noida West and the facilitator of the workshop Mr. Rohit Choudhary (Project Manager) from the same. The HoD, faculty members along with students of BCA-2nd Semester & 4th Semester were present in the workshop and benefitted immensely from the concepts of Python and its applications and other current technologies used in IT industry.
