The library is happy to announce the 'Library Workshop Series 2025' for faculty and scholars. The aim of these online workshops is to help scholars effectively utilise various databases for teaching, learning and research. The first online workshop in this series will be held as per the schedule provided in the flyer.

The 6th Annual Book Festival 2025 – A Celebration of Knowledge - organized by the IMT Ghaziabad library in the beautiful campus, was a tremendous success! On January 30, 2025, the IMT Ghaziabad Library celebrated the joy of knowledge with an outstanding selection of books and enthusiastic participation from the IMT community. We sincerely appreciate all the book lovers supporting this event, whose passion for reading made it truly special!

Library, IMT Ghaziabad is pleased to share that Dr. Akhtar Hussain, Head of the Library at IMT Ghaziabad, has been awarded the prestigious AIMS International Outstanding Management Librarian Award for 2024 for his significant contributions to management education at Knowledge Centers. Dr. Hussain received the award from Dr. Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode, during the AIMS-22 International Conference on Management, which took place at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode on January 2, 2025.

MANLIBNET 2023
The 21st International Conference of MANLIBNET, themed 'Empowering Libraries, Connecting Communities: Innovation, Collaboration, and Entrepreneurship' concluded at IMT Ghaziabad Campus on October 7, 2023.
The inaugural session of the event had more than 200 attendees, including professionals in library and information science, research scholars, ITES providers, and publishers, among others. The conference began with Dr. Akhtar Hussain, the Organising Secretary of MANLIBNET 2023, delivering the welcome address. Ms. Amy Memon, the Regional Head of South Asia for AACSB, served as the Chief Guest for the event. In her inspiring opening speech, she emphasized the significance of libraries and quoted Shelby Foote, who once said, "a university is just a group of buildings gathered around a library." Fr. Dr. K.S. Casimir, the Director of XLRI Delhi-NCR, delivered the keynote speech, discussing the evolving role of libraries. He highlighted how libraries are transforming into hubs for innovation, entrepreneurship, community empowerment, and becoming central to communities. Dr. Vishal Talwar, Director, IMT Ghaziabad, also addressed the participants. He shared his personal experience of spending significant time in the library during his academic journey, emphasizing the profound impact it had on him. Dr. Talwar stressed the importance of shaping the future of libraries and, consequently, the future of humanity. He also emphasized the need to ensure access to books and information for those who currently lack such resources and genuinely need them.
Dr. M.G. Sreekumar, Director of Libraries, Jio Institute and President, MANLIBNET, provided the conference attendees with a comprehensive overview of the different themes and sub-themes addressed during the event. On a similar note, Dr. Akhtar Parvez, University Librarian, MANUU and, General Secretary, MANLIBNET, informed the audience about the array of activities conducted by the Management Libraries Network.
During the inauguration of the conference, the Best Librarian Award was presented to Mr. Jitender Sharma. MANLIBNET Innovative Librarian Award 2023 was presented to Dr. Rajesh Kumar and Dr. Meenal Oak during the inaugural session.
The conference proceedings, having 93 original research papers, were released by Ms. Amy Memon, Chief Guest of the inaugural session. Dr. Amit Sareen, Dean Academics IMT Ghaziabad, extended a formal vote of thanks.
Besides seventy-five paper presentations, two panel discussions and eight plenary talks were delivered during the 3-day conference.
The conference successfully concluded on October 7, 2023. During the valedictory session of MANLIBNET 2023, Dr. Vishal Talwar, Director of IMT Ghaziabad, underscored the importance of personal growth and making positive contributions to society. He highlighted the significant potential of extending our outreach to rural areas to foster national development, encouraging us to explore this opportunity. He emphasised that investing in libraries is crucial for creating an informed citizenry and advancing the cause of citizen science.
The MANLIBNET-3B Best Paper Award was jointly awarded to the Mr. Altaf Ali and Mr. Tiplut Wann.

The Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad is delighted to organise MANLIBNET 2023: 21st International Conference, themed 'Empowering Libraries, Connecting Communities: Innovation, Collaboration, and Entrepreneurship.' Scheduled for October 5-7, 2023.
The primary objective of MANLIBNET 2023 is to inspire creative thinking, effective collaboration, and entrepreneurship within the library community. We aim to explore unconventional approaches to enhance academic and public libraries while fostering stronger connections within communities.
More than 200 attendees, including Library and Information Science professionals, faculty members, research scholars, IT professionals, IT service providers, business executives, knowledge management professionals, publishers, and others from India and abroad are expected to attend the event.
The conference agenda will encompass a wide array of topics, including Academic and public Libraries, Innovation in Libraries, Digital Technology and Trends in Libraries, and many more. The institute looks forward to a fruitful MANLIBNET 2023.

Scheduled for October 5-7, 2023 at IMT Ghaziabad Campus.
Amy Memon is the Regional Head for South Asia and Manager of Accreditation Services (Asia Pacific) for AACSB. She has over a decade of experience working with AACSB’s member schools and served as the association’s special advisor in India. Amy also served in AACSB’s US headquarters as Manager of Research.
Fr Dr. K. S. Casimir, with a Ph.D. from NIT Warangal and over 25 years of experience in higher education leadership at Loyola institutions in Hyderabad, is now the Director of XLRI Delhi-NCR. He is passionate about teaching business communication and has organized conferences and FDPs across the country on various topics. IMT looks forward to host the esteemed guests for MANLIBNET 2023.
