32 students from the 9th grade of Uttam School for Girls, accompanied by their ATL coordinator, had the privilege of visiting the Innovation Incubation Centre at IIMT College, Greater Noida. This visit was organized by the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), Ministry of Education Innovation Cell, Government of India.
Special thanks to the innovators at IIMT College for their warm hospitality and valuable contributions to the students' learning experience.

A virtual training session for students was organized on a software called mBlock.
Students were trained to make projects/games and gesture control calculator. In the same training session, a real time problem was given to students to develop a software which checks and detects if a person is with a mask or without a mask by feeding the machine with different types of data.

In another virtual session , students were introduced to the different components of app development like location sensors, activity starter and taught how to use them. Later they made an application using those components that could locate the location of a person.

A training session on MIT app inventor was organized on the virtual platform(MS Teams). Students worked on it and developed a Mole mash game with the use of Tiny DB as well.

Uttam School For Girls participated in Tinker fest 2k19 hosted by Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Vasundhara Ghaziabad.It was a festival of invention, creativity and innovation, where bright minds from Grade VI- XI were engaged and were motivated to innovate.We are happy to announce that our students Vidhi Chaudhary, Aadya Bhatnagar and Diya Agarwal won the first position in the Student Preneur category.The students designed an automated air pollution detection and control device named Aerobot.

Uttam School for Girls celebrated ‘National Science Day’ with great zeal, to commemorate the invention of Raman Effect by the Indian physicist Sir C.V. Raman.
In view of the importance of this remarkable event , the ATL organised workshops for the students of grade 6th(Soldering for Beginners) and 10th(Solar lamp kit).Interesting techniques of soldering were introduced to the young innovators by asking them to make a complete circuit in the form of different geometric shapes.The creative minds of grade 10th worked on a Solar powered table lamp kit.

Uttam School For Girls organised a three day workshop from 19th- 21st December, 2018 wherein the students learnt the working and application of various gadgetries.
They started off with a microcontroller ‘Arduino’ wherein they learnt to blink an LED by programming it using the Arduino software. Their next task was to use ‘Ultrasonic Sensors’ as the input device and buzzers as the output device.The students also learnt how to programme a Gear Motor with Arduino using the Motor Driver.
On the second day, the students were introduced to a microprocessor ‘Rasberry Pi’ which works with its operating system ‘Rasbian’. They successfully installed the OS in their laptops using various other softwares.
The third day focused on teaching students the working and application of a Rasberry Pi . They learnt how to make and install a programme on a Rasberry Pi and also programmed an LED .
It was an amazing experience which provided them with ample opportunities of tinkering and learning.
