Activity: Math Around Us
CBS Sainik School proudly invites participations for its first unique competition “Math Around Us”. This unique competition is a creation of interest and celebration of mathematics in our everyday life, and we invite students to explore the beauty and relevance of math in the world around them.
There are 4 steps to participate in this competition:
Step 1: Make a one-minute video in English language with your friend exploring math in daily life. Your friend should not be from your school.
(Video will start with your name, class and school name eg. Hi, I’m Rohan of class 5th studying in Sainik School, Muradnagar…… I found TV at my home which is having a rectangular shape which I have studied in mathematics. I can calculate the area of TV by using the formula Area= width x Length.
Step 2: Send this video to your class whatsAap group by 31.05.2024
Step 3: Best videos of each class will be uploaded to school Social Media (Facebook and Instagram) by 10.06.2024.
Step 4: Share the link of your video to your friends and ask to participate and like your video. Link = https://www.facebook.com/CBSSainikSchool/
Rules:
- Students from grades 3 to 8 can participate.
- Category A- grades 3 to 5
- Category B- grades 6 to 8
- NO FEE required for participating in this event.
- The last date for submission of entries is 31st May 2024.
- The most interesting entries which meet the evaluation criteria will win exciting prizes.
- All participants will receive e-certificates.
