Gyan Anant Vidyalaya celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, pride, and patriotic fervour. The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting by the Principal, Dr. Poonam Minhas, who addressed the gathering with an inspiring message on the significance of Independence Day and our responsibilities as citizens.
Students expressed their love and pride for the nation through heartfelt speeches, highlighting the true meaning of independence and its importance in shaping our actions, choices, values, and beliefs.
The celebration also featured patriotic songs and vibrant dance performances, filling the atmosphere with joy and national pride. The programme beautifully reminded everyone that independence is not merely a historical achievement but a responsibility to uphold our values, fulfil our duties, and contribute positively to the progress of our nation

Our Junior Wing painted the school with the colours of freedom and joy!
Little hands turned into tiny flags and bright memories hand impressions, finger-dabbing art, cheerful tricolour birds, handmade badges, and fragrant flower bouquets filled every corner with the spirit of Independence Day. Laughter echoed through the rooms as children shared, created, and celebrated together with curiosity and pride.
Each artwork was a heartfelt tribute to our nation and a lovely reminder that patriotism blooms in small acts of creativity and togetherness. Proud of our young artistes for their enthusiasm, teamwork and colourful imagination!

Our school prayer set a reverent tone as we gathered to celebrate the spirit of freedom; the Thought of the Day inspired everyone to be kind, courageous, and responsible citizens. The Grade 1 students then filled the hall with emotion as they sang a beautiful patriotic song, their voices ringing with sincerity and pride. The stage burst into color with an amazing, high-energy dance performance brimming with joy and love for our nation and our little anchors guided the programme with poise and confidence, making everyone smile. We applaud the enthusiasm and hard work of our young learners, and thank our teachers and parents for their support in making this Independence Day assembly a memorable celebration of patriotism. Today our little chefs donned their chef caps and aprons and turned their kitchens into mini culinary studios! In an engaging online flameless cooking activity, our students came prepared with ingredients and enthusiasm. Guided step-by-step by their teachers, they made healthy, delicious snacks like corn chaat, club sandwich, monaco sandwich, cucumber boats and peanut chaat.
It was wonderful to see them follow instructions, practise safe, hygienic food handling, and learn basic cooking techniques..chopping, assembling, seasoning, and presenting all while having fun. Proud moments included creative plating, teamwork with siblings and parents, and the joy of sharing their tasty creations with family members.
This activity encouraged practical life skills, healthy eating habits, independence, and confidence. A big thank you to our teachers and parents for their support. Well done, young chefs, keep exploring flavours and cooking with care!

What a delightful morning with our Junior Wing stars! Our virtual Show-and-Tell was a heartwarming showcase of curiosity, confidence and creativity as each child brought a special prop and spoke so confidently about their chosen theme. From thoughtful explanations to cheerful smiles, every student participated with enthusiasm and respect, listening to their classmates and asking lovely questions. The parents’ support and our teachers’ encouragement made the session smooth and full of positive energy. Congratulations to all the little presenters for their excellent communication skills and bright ideas, you made learning fun and memorable for everyone!

Blue skies, bright smiles, and tiny discoveries!
Our Pre‑Nursery and Nursery little ones celebrated Blue Colour Day with boundless curiosity and joy. Dressed in adorable blue outfits, they explored nature, looking up at the wide blue sky, admiring flowers, chasing butterflies and pointing out blue objects all around the garden and playground. Back in class the fun continued with sing‑along rhymes and hands‑on sensory activities: finger dabbing with blue paint, tearing and pasting blue paper, crushing paper to make textured collages and creating delightful blue crafts. Laughter, teamwork, and messy creativity filled the day, turning simple discoveries into memorable learning moments. A heartfelt thank you to our young learners and teachers for making this colourful day so special!
