Uttam School for Girls proudly participated in the 80th Independence Day celebrations at BPR&D–CDTI, Ghaziabad, in the esteemed presence of Dr. Praggya M. Singh, Professor & Director, CBSE; Shri Ram Singh, IES, Joint Director, DSEL, Ministry of Education; and Mrs. K. Swarnambika, IPS, Director, CDTI, Ghaziabad.

Our Grade VIII students participated enthusiastically in the quiz and pledge-taking ceremony, demonstrating confidence, awareness and a deep sense of patriotic spirit.

A particularly proud moment was seeing our student, Elina, lead the pledge, reflecting the values of responsibility, leadership and active citizenship that we strive to nurture in every young learner.

Uttam School for Girls Celebrates 80 Years of Freedom with Pride, Purpose and Promise!

Uttam School for Girls celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour, pride and a strong sense of responsibility towards the nation. The celebration began with a soulful rendition of Vande Mataram, followed by the ceremonial flag hoisting and National Anthem, honouring the sacrifices of the freedom fighters.

The Har Ghar Tiranga initiative was also highlighted, reinforcing the importance of nurturing a personal bond with the National Flag. Students across the school participated in patriotic music, dance and creative tricolour activities.

The student leaders, in their address, reflected on the true meaning of freedom—as a responsibility inherited by every generation—and urged students to ask, “What will I give India?” They drew inspiration from acts of service during adversity and India’s achievements in sports, science and space, reminding young citizens that nation-building begins today, through courage, excellence, empathy and purposeful action.

The celebration also featured Itihaas Ka Aaina, a vibrant cultural presentation bringing alive India’s journey of freedom, resilience and progress through music, dance and storytelling.

The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to carry the spirit of freedom beyond the celebration and live its values every day.

Celebrating the Spirit of Independence!!

The Early Years students of Uttam School for Girls celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. A special assembly introduced them to India’s President and Prime Minister, the National Flag, the National Anthem, and other national symbols, making them aware of the significance of the day.

The celebrations continued with class presentations, patriotic songs, dance performances, and creative activities, giving the children joyful opportunities to express their love for the nation. A special festive treat added to the excitement.

The wholehearted participation of the children made the celebration joyful, meaningful, and memorable, nurturing a sense of patriotism, unity, and love for the nation.

It was a proud and memorable day at Uttam School for Girls as we hosted the Mighty Math Carnival 2026–27 — a vibrant interschool celebration inspired by the theme, “Mathematics and Hope — Solving for a Better Tomorrow.”

Our Primary Wing came alive as 25 schools from across Delhi NCR and over 153 enthusiastic participants, from Prep to Grade 5, came together in a dazzling festival of numbers, imagination, and discovery.

We were delighted to welcome bright young minds from Nehru World School, St. Thomas School, Delhi Public School (Ghaziabad), DAV Public School (Pratap Vihar), and Gurukul The School — to name just a few among the many that joined us.

We were honoured to have our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Tanu Jain , a former civil servant and Founder of Tathastu ICS - whose inspiring words encouraged our young mathematicians to dream bigger and aim higher.

Amidst much cheer, the Game Fame Trophy went to Indirapuram Public School, while Ryan International School, Ghaziabad were crowned Overall Champions.

Building Resilient Minds Together! 🌱

A meaningful Project MATE session at Uttam School for Girls brought parents of Grades VI–VIII together to explore how the home environment shapes a child’s mind, confidence and resilience.

We were honoured to welcome experts from AIIMS, New Delhi, who shared valuable insights on creating supportive homes, strengthening self-esteem, fostering communication and nurturing emotional wellbeing.

Because when families and schools work together, children grow stronger. 💛

P.N. Panicker Reading Month Celebration 2026

In observance of **P.N. Panicker Reading Month** (19 June–18 July 2026), Uttam School for Girls conducted a month-long series of reading and literary activities across all wings, in alignment with the CBSE initiative.

Students enthusiastically participated in a variety of engaging activities, including drawing and colouring competitions, poetry recitation, and book discussions, which nurtured creativity, imagination, and a lasting love for reading.

As part of the celebration, the **Reading Pledge** was administered to all students during the morning assembly, reaffirming the school’s commitment to fostering a strong reading culture. A **Book Fair** was also organised for the entire school, giving students the opportunity to explore a diverse collection of books and further strengthen their reading habits.

The month-long celebration successfully reinforced the importance of reading as a lifelong habit and promoted literary awareness, curiosity, and a culture of reading among students.

Youth Thinkers Convocation 5.0: Youth Perspectives on a Changing World

Uttam School for Girls successfully hosted Youth Thinkers Convocation 5.0 on the theme, “Shifting Realities, Transforming Perspectives: Youth Navigating a Rapidly Changing World.”

The two-day conclave brought together student delegates from Classes VIII to XI to discuss global challenges and develop critical thinking, collaboration, and leadership skills.

The convocation was inaugurated by Chief Guest Professor Tapan K. Gandhi, Chairperson, Centre for Biomedical Engineering, IIT Delhi, who encouraged students to embrace innovation, research, and creativity to contribute to a better future.

Through discussions across youth forums and committees, delegates explored topics including Artificial Intelligence, deepfakes, digital well-being, AI ethics, data privacy, and the influence of algorithms on media.
