It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that the CBSE North Zone-1 Chess Championship is being organized at the premises of S.G. Public Senior Secondary School.
In this regard, a press conference was organized at the school today, August 18, 2026, in which various media representatives were invited. The event was attended by School Director Mr. Raja Raman Khanna, Director Mrs. Vibha Khanna, Deputy Director Mr. Satish Sharma, Principal Mrs. Kavita Kehri, and CBSE-appointed Observer Mr. Nikhil Hans.
During the press conference, Director Mr. Raja Raman Khanna briefed the media representatives about the details of the CBSE North Zone-1 Chess Championship. Approximately 3,300 students have registered for the competition across various age categories—Under-11, Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19.
The inauguration ceremony of the championship will be held on August 22, 2026, at the school premises.
The school has also made arrangements for the accommodation, meals, and other necessary facilities for approximately 1,200 students participating in the championship.
Mr. Raja Raman Khanna, along with the entire school management, staff, and members of the school community, is highly enthusiastic and excited about hosting this prestigious championship.

The National Flag was proudly hoisted by our respected Director Sir, Mr. Raja Raman Khanna, Director Ma’am, Mrs. Vibha Khanna, Deputy Director Sir, Mr. Satish Kumar Sharma, and Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Kavita Kehri, along with our dedicated and esteemed staff members. 🇮🇳✨

As the Tricolour soared high, the entire school community stood united with hearts filled with pride and respect for our nation. The flag-hoisting ceremony beautifully reflected the values of freedom, unity, courage, responsibility and patriotism.

The presence and participation of our esteemed Director Sir, Deputy Director Sir, Principal Ma’am and all staff members made this occasion truly special and memorable. Together, we paid tribute to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and renewed our commitment to contribute towards a stronger and brighter India.
