Our first event for this tenure "UNRAVEL - Your Intuition, Paves her Revolution" was a grand success. Students from diverse backgrounds came together and engaged in lively debate. The participants enlightened us with their speeches and unique ideas on the theme Women Safety.

The Women in Engineering Affinity Group under IEEE - VBIT SB, has taken up an initiative to conduct "UNRAVEL - YOUR INTUITION, PAVES HER REVOLUTION", an open mic event where young minds can take a stand, speak out and share their views and experiences on the theme Women Safety.

Greetings from IEEE - VBIT SB!

As part of IEEE Week celebration, Women in Engineering Affinity Group under IEEE - VBIT SB was triumphant in organizing the event " UNPLUG - Disconnect to Reconnect" in collaboration with India's first non-profit organization that promotes Advocacy on Digital Safety, End Now Foundation.

The founder of End Now Foundation, Mr. Anil Rachamalla has motivated students with his thought-provoking words on the inimical effects of the constantly expanding technology and our addiction towards it, and the need for a digital detox.
The various contests such as Painting, Debate, and Picture Interpretation conducted as part of the event were focused on unleashing the creative abilities of the students.

Greetings from WIE-AG | IEEE - VBIT SB,

The second event of IEEE week celebrations, LITERAGON, an art and literature event was successfully organized on October 8th, 2018.

Every artist was first an amateur.

The event mainly focused on unleashing the creativity of the students in diverse platforms.

'Doodle - it' and 'Article - o - phile' were conducted simultaneously in the first session where doodles were created which showed the role played by women in today's society.
Participants unveiled their finesse and eloquence through their art and articles.

'Speak Out' was in the second session which was conducted after lunch. Where participants were back with much more energy to showcase their enthralling performances.
Once you overcome your fears; possibly nothing can go wrong when you speak your heart out in front of the audience.
This was the time when the ones who were the quietest found a voice. Each one had their say by bringing out their charisma which added colour and exuberance to the event.

We are delighted to announce that WIE AG | IEEE - VBIT SB has taken an initiative to conduct an art and literature based event LITERAGON as a part of the IEEE week celebrations.

The event provides a platform for students to exhibit their speaking skills, artistic abilities and creativity in their very own way.

It's time to bring out the artist within you and express who you are!

What we value about art and literature are the moments that we create in our minds when we encounter them.

Come explore and enhance the creativity within you by participating in:

Doodle it

You will have to create some hand doodles based on WIE or IEEE, the best one will be awarded.

Article - o - phile

You will have to chose one of the following topics and write an article about the same:

▪Staying right side up when everything is upside down.

▪Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.

▪Art is a stress reliever and can reduce depression.

Speak Out

You will be given few topics, on which you can speak your heart out and express your opinions. Creativity in the way you put forth your opinions is what will fetch you brownie points!

Let your words create an impact to create a better world.

The topics for speak out are as follows:

▪What makes you different from others?

▪If you could be your favourite character for one day, what would you be and why?

▪Do grades define a students capability?

Greetings from WIE-AG | IEEE - VBIT SB,

Here's about the annual event 'Star Kid', which was conducted on 27th July, 2018 in Zilla Parishad Girls High School, Ghatkesar.

Main motive behind the event was to let the 10th grade students know about numerous career opportunities and helping them view it in a wider perspective.

And to help them stay safe online, basics of computer and internet security were taught.

It was also focused on spreading awareness about menstrual hygiene.

The students were so energetic and participated actively in the painting which was held later that day.

Self-defense techniques were taught by a trainer to keep them prepared for unexpected situations and helping them be proactive.

The event was concluded by distributing sanitary napkins and goodies.

Greetings!
We, the team of WIE AG under IEEE - VBIT SB, had conducted an event "Art Beats" on the 7th and 8th of March, 2018.

The event went on for two days where the first day was held with various competitions like poster painting, clay modelling, pot painting, lantern making and best out of waste. The competition was held for all the four years.
The second day was conducted on the occassion of "International Women's Day". various esteemed speakers like nutritionist, motivator, professor and public speaker enlightened all the young minds in empowering women.
