World Environment Day Celebrated with Grand Model Exhibition at Noble English School

Noble English School, Mangalbaria, West Sikkim, celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment towards environmental conservation on 5th June 2026. The highlight of the celebration was a Model Exhibition, in which a total of seven schools from Mangalbaria and the surrounding localities participated.

The programme commenced with a tree plantation ceremony, symbolising the collective responsibility of protecting and preserving nature. The plantation was carried out by the Director, Principal, Student Management Committee (SMC) members, and the students of Noble English School, marking the beginning of the day's celebration with a meaningful environmental initiative.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including SMC Vice Chairman Shri Rajen D**g and Advisor Shri Kamal Gurung, who joined the school community in promoting the message of environmental awareness and sustainable living.

The programme was smoothly anchored by Master Anish Tamang, a student of Class IX, who served as the Master of Ceremonies. The gathering was warmly welcomed by the Principal, Madam Eva Chamling, through her inspiring Welcome Address. In her speech, she highlighted the importance of protecting the environment and encouraged students to become responsible citizens by adopting eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.

Students from Nursery to Class X, along with their respective class teachers, actively participated in the exhibition by presenting innovative and creative models made entirely from waste and recyclable materials. The exhibits beautifully demonstrated the importance of the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle—while showcasing practical ideas for conserving natural resources, reducing pollution, and creating a greener and healthier planet.

The exhibition attracted enthusiastic participation from the visiting schools. The students confidently explained the concepts, objectives, and environmental significance of their models to the visitors, displaying remarkable creativity, teamwork, and scientific understanding. The interaction provided an excellent platform for exchanging ideas and spreading awareness about environmental protection among young learners.

The celebration concluded with appreciation for all the participating schools, teachers, guests, and students whose dedication and active involvement made the programme a memorable success. Through this meaningful initiative, Noble English School once again reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing environmentally conscious citizens and inspiring the younger generation to work together for a cleaner, greener, and pollution-free future.

Noble Secondary English School Conducts Inter-House Spell Bee Competition

Mangalbaria, 29th May 2026: Noble English School successfully organized an exciting and educational Inter-House Spell Bee Competition on 29th May 2026. The event aimed to enhance students' vocabulary, pronunciation, spelling accuracy, and confidence in the English language.

The programme commenced with a warm Welcome Speech delivered by Miss Bidhya, who greeted the participants, teachers, and guests and highlighted the importance of language learning through healthy competition.

The event was gracefully hosted by Miss Buddha Maya, who served as the Master of Ceremonies. The competition was conducted by Spell Bee Master Sir Rajjal, who skillfully guided the participants through the various rounds of the contest. Miss Bidhya also performed the duties of the Time Keeper, ensuring the smooth and fair conduct of every round.

The competition was judged by Principal Madam Eva Chamling, Miss Presha, and Madam Junita, whose expertise and impartial evaluation contributed greatly to the success of the event.

The Spell Bee Competition consisted of five challenging rounds:

1. General Round – 50 Marks
2. Pronunciation Round – 50 Marks
3. Rapid Fire Round – 100 Marks
4. House Masters' Round – 50 Marks
5. Arrange the Words Round – 15 Marks

In addition, a Bonus Remark carrying 5 marks was awarded, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition. To make the event even more thrilling, a Surprise Bumper Round worth 200 marks was introduced at the end, giving participants a final opportunity to showcase their spelling prowess.

All four houses displayed remarkable enthusiasm, teamwork, and determination throughout the competition. After an intense and closely contested battle of words, the final results were announced as follows:

1st Position: Simvo House
2nd Position: Pandim House
3rd Position: Kabru House
4th Position: Sinolchu House

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Sir Rubain, who expressed gratitude to the judges, organizers, teachers, participants, and all those who contributed to making the event a grand success.

The Inter-House Spell Bee Competition proved to be an enriching experience for all participants and encouraged students to strengthen their vocabulary, improve their pronunciation, and develop a deeper appreciation for the English language.

1st Parents’ and Teachers’ Meeting of Noble English School

The 1st Parents’ and Teachers’ Meeting of Noble English School was conducted successfully in the presence of the School Management Committee members, teachers, parents, and guardians. The programme aimed at strengthening the bond between the school and parents for the betterment of the students. Students were not included in the first session of the meeting.

The School Management Committee consisted of Karma Sonam Lepcha, Chairman and Director of the school, Rajen D**g, Vice Chairman, Eva Chamling, Principal and Ex-officio Co-ordinator, and Dependra Kumar D**g, Executive Member.

The programme began with the garlanding of the present SMC members with khadas and the presentation of plants as tokens of appreciation and respect. This warm gesture reflected gratitude towards the members for their valuable contribution to the institution.

The welcome speech was delivered by Principal Madam Eva Chamling, who shared her inspirational thoughts regarding the growth, discipline, and bright future of the students. Her encouraging words motivated both parents and teachers to work together for the overall development of the children.

Following the welcome address, the Vice Chairman Rajen D**g shared his valuable experiences and thoughts with the gathering. His speech highlighted the importance of education, unity, and cooperation among teachers and parents.

The programme was further followed by an inspiring speech from Karma Sonam Lepcha, Chairman of the School Management Committee and Director of the school, who encouraged everyone to continue supporting the institution in its journey towards excellence.

A special farewell was then organised for Dependra Kumar D**g, Executive Member of the SMC. As a token of appreciation for his dedicated service, he was honoured with a khada and appreciation gift presented by Karma Sonam Lepcha. Mr. Dependra Kumar D**g also delivered a heartfelt farewell speech expressing his gratitude and best wishes for the school.

During the meeting, important appointments and elections were also conducted. Presha Rai was appointed as the General Secretary from the teachers. Additionally, two new Executive Members were elected from among the parents through an election process: Dhiraj Rai and Rabika Rai.

The school also proudly recognised the achievements of students who participated in the 22nd State Karate Championship held on 2nd and 3rd May 2026 at Paljor Stadium. Tashi Chopel D**g and Amrit D**g secured 3rd position and won bronze medals in the championship. Meshila Tamang received a certificate for participation. Certificates and medals were distributed to the students in recognition of their achievements and efforts.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Puja Rai, who expressed gratitude to all the members, parents, guardians, and teachers for their active participation and cooperation.

After the completion of the first session, the second session of the day focused on interaction between class teachers, subject teachers, parents, guardians, and students. This session provided an opportunity for parents to discuss the academic progress, behaviour, and overall performance of their children directly with the teachers, thereby strengthening communication and understanding between the school and families.

Yesterday, our school organized a Stone ART Competition, providing a platform for students to express their creativity and artistic skills.

🌍 Earth Day Celebration 2026 🌿

Today, our school celebrated Earth Day with great enthusiasm and a strong message of environmental responsibility.

The program was conducted under the guidance of Miss Presha Rai, Coordinator of the Eco Club, along with all the teachers, who inspired students to understand the importance of protecting our planet.

Teachers spread awareness about environmental conservation, and students actively participated by taking a meaningful pledge to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.

🚮 After the program, students and teachers together carried out a cleanliness drive, cleaning the surrounding areas and turning awareness into action.

Chemistry Practical Activity 🧪

On Thursday, 9 April 2026, a Chemistry practical session was conducted under the guidance of Miss Binita Manger.

During the session, students performed experiments on Solution, Suspension, and Colloidal mixtures. They observed the differences in particle size, transparency, and settling behavior, helping them clearly understand how each mixture behaves.

The practical activity enabled students to connect theory with real-life examples, making learning more effective and engaging.
