A Tithi Bhoj was organized in our school to mark the special occasion with joy and togetherness. During this event, Sel Roti made of millet was served to all the students as part of the Mid-Day Meal (MDM). The students enjoyed the traditional food prepared with love and care. The programme aimed to promote the use of millets for healthy eating and to spread awareness about their nutritional value. Our school is observing Swachhata Pakhwada and Seva Pakhwada as week-long programmes with great enthusiasm and participation from both students and teachers.

Till, the 3rd day of Swachhata Pakhwada and 2nd day of sewa pakwada, a cleanliness drive was conducted covering classrooms, school surroundings, and nearby areas. Students displayed posters, slogans, and took a pledge to maintain cleanliness and spread awareness about hygiene and sanitation.

So far, both Pakhwadas have been observed with sincerity and dedication. The activities have not only improved the school environment but also inspired students to adopt cleanliness and service as essential values in their daily lives. The programmes will continue throughout the week with more awareness and service activities.

Our respected senior teacher, Mr. K. N. Sharma, who has served this institution with dedication for many years, has once again set a noble example of generosity.During his tenure in this school, he donated several useful items for the betterment of the institution and the welfare of the students.

Today, he contributed three dozen plates with spoons, five standared tables, six standard chairs,plants with pots and many other usable items which will greatly benefit the school in daily functioning as well as in organizing various programmes.

Beyond these valuable contributions, he also extended his generosity by providing a love feast to the School Management Committee, teachers, and students, creating cherished moments of togetherness and joy within the school community.

The school family deeply appreciates his thoughtful contributions and selfless service. Such acts of kindness reflect his love and concern for the school community and will always be remembered with gratitude.

Tamatam Junior High School bid an emotional farewell to its most respected and senior teacher, Mr. K. N. Sharma, on the occasion of his retirement after 39 years of dedicated service to the institution.

Mr. Sharma joined this school nearly four decades ago and, through his tireless efforts, sincere commitment, and selfless dedication, has played a pivotal role in shaping the academic excellence and moral values of countless students. His discipline, guidance, and encouragement have not only enlightened the learners but also inspired fellow teachers to give their best.

Throughout his career, Mr. Sharma was known for his simplicity, punctuality, and passion for teaching. He stood as a guiding light to generations of students who today hold respectable positions in society and still remember him with gratitude. An Inter-House Speech Competition was organized in our school on the theme “Your Future Matters – Stay Drug Free.” The program aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage them to choose a healthy and bright future.

Participants from all the houses delivered powerful and inspiring speeches highlighting how drugs can destroy health, career, and life. They also stressed the importance of discipline, positive habits, and saying “No” to peer pressure. The audience listened attentively and applauded the speakers for their confidence and clarity.

Tamatam Junior High School organized a heartfelt farewell programme on 6/08/2025 to bid adieu to the former Headmasters, Mr. K. K. Chettri and Mrs. Kunzang Uden Lepcha, who had rendered valuable service to the school over the years. The event was held in the school premises and witnessed the presence of Principal Gerethang SSS, teachers, students, SMC members, guardians, panchayat President,Panchayat members, and well-wishers.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by a School Incharge followed by floral tributes and the lighting of the lamp. Students presented a series of cultural performances, including songs, dances, expressing their deep gratitude and respect for the outgoing headmasters.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. K. K. Chettri expressed his appreciation to the staff and students for their cooperation during his tenure and encouraged everyone to continue striving for excellence.

Tamatam Junior High School organized an inter-house activity on the topic “Does social media benefit or harm society?” on 2/08/2025. The event saw enthusiastic participation from two houses — Yellow House and Blue House — with each house represented by three participants.

The participants actively presented their arguments, showcasing both the advantages and disadvantages of social media in today’s world. The session was engaging and informative, encouraging critical thinking and public speaking skills among students.

After careful evaluation by the judges, Blue House was declared the winner of the day’s activity.

A key topic of discussion was the construction of a protective wall below the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) shed, aimed at ensuring the safety of the students and improving the school’s infrastructure.
