Congratulations to for cracking CSIR NET / JRF December 2025 exam.
Several students from various departments of the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) have excelled in the national-level CSIR NET-JRF December 2025 examination. The result was declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) this past week. A a total of five students from the Department of Biotechnology achieved success in this national-level eligibility test. Abhitej Kumar Jha brought laurels to both the department and the university by securing the 131st All India Rank (AIR) in the examination. Meanwhile, M.Sc. Biotechnology students Sanish Kumar, Pritikana Mallick, Nisha, and Sibsankar Mallick have qualified specifically for admission into the Ph.D. programme. Three students from the Department of Chemistry have qualified in the examination. Ashutosh Dey delivered an outstanding performance at the All India level by securing the 9th rank, while Arnab Patra and Rajneesh Patel secured the 78th and 81st All India Ranks, respectively. Rudra Narayan Patnaik, a student of the Department of Geology, has qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

A systematic geo-scientific field survey was conducted by Department of Geology, Central University of South Bihar, across Gaya, Nawada and Aurangabad to document lithological, structural, and geomorphological features and evaluate their geo-heritage significance and conservation potential.

The Department of Geology, CUSB, was honored to host Prof. B. P. Singh, Senior Professor, Department of Geology, BHU, for an insightful academic visit.

Today, Prof. M. K. Singh, Dean (Academics), IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, visited the Department of Geology, Central University of South Bihar, Gaya. During his visit, he held detailed discussions with Prof. Prafull Singh, Head of the Department of Geology, on strengthening academic ties and exploring avenues for future research collaboration between the two institutions. Prof. Singh also interacted with Ph.D. scholars of the department and provided valuable guidance on emerging research themes and advanced methodologies in the field of groundwater science.
