A 'Felicitation Ceremony' was organised on 11th June 2026 by British School-Gurukul, Gaya to honour Subham Kumar, AIR-1, JEE-ADVANCED-2026 and other 17 students who have qualified in JEE-ADVANCED-2026.
Apart from these students, JEE-MAIN qualified students, XII-Board Topper( 96.8 %) and X-Board Topper( 99.2 %) were also honoured. Prominent personalities such as, Dr Mohan Shrivastava, Former Deputy Mayor, Dr Shashi Shekhar Singh, Manoj Kumar, Munna Kumar, Prem Narayan Patwa and Vibha Devi (BJP Leader) were Guests of Honour. They honoured these meritorious students with a bouquet, certificate, medal and trophy. Parents of these students were also honoured with a shawl. The Chief Guest, Dr Prem Kumar ( President of the Bihar Vidhan Sabha) blessed the students and delivered a precious speech via video conferencing. A motivational dance and a folk dance were also performed by the students.
At last, Dr Bhimraj Prasad, the Managing Director, gifted all JEE-ADVANCED qualified students a silver chain.

Putting all the controversies surrounding AIR 1 Shubham Kumar (JEE ADVANCED 2026) to rest.
He was a our regular offline classroom student from Apr’24 to Mar’25 in Ranker’s batch consisting of 12 students only where complete syllabus of class 11 and 40% syllabus of class 12 was covered in this duration.
Heartiest Congratulations to Shubham Kumar and his family for achieving this unprecedented feat of AIR 1 from Gaya ji, Bihar. We are proud of you.
We are grateful to him and his family for trusting us in their preparation of JEE for not only Shubham Kumar but also his elder sister Shreya Kumari currently studying at IIT PATNA-CSE.
