The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at DAV Public School Cantt Area Gaya JEE with immense patriotic fervour, pride and enthusiasm.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag by the Honourable Principal-cum-ARO, Ms. Anjali, followed by the National Anthem, which filled the atmosphere with a profound sense of patriotism. The impressive March Past by the NCC Cadets, Scouts & Guides, and the School Band reflected discipline, unity and national pride.
The gathering was then inspired by the address of the Honourable Principal-cum-ARO, Ms. Anjali. She emphasised the values of responsibility, integrity and dedicated service to the nation. She also motivated the young minds to become sincere, responsible and compassionate citizens who would contribute meaningfully to the progress of the country.
The vibrant cultural programme featured the patriotic song “Unity in Diversity,” an inspiring Hindi speech by Diksha Kumari (IX-E), a graceful Kathak Fusion, an eloquent English speech by Shristy Singh (VII-C), and the energetic group dance “Azadi.” Each performance beautifully reflected the spirit of freedom, unity and national pride.
A special highlight of the celebration was the felicitation of the SSE/SSCE 2026 toppers and other achievers. The toppers and national-level achievers were honoured with Certificates of Appreciation and tokens of recognition by the Honourable Principal Ma’am and Prof. Manish Sinha, Former Head of the Department of History, Bodh Gaya cm Convenor, INTACH - Gaya Chapter. The felicitation ceremony was a proud and inspiring moment for the entire school community.
The celebration concluded with the soulful rendition of “Vande Mataram,” leaving everyone with a renewed spirit of patriotism and a firm commitment to contribute towards building a stronger, united and progressive India.
The programme came to a cheerful close with the distribution of sweets among the students, adding sweetness to the spirit of freedom, togetherness and national pride.
