🌿 International Day of Forests 2026 🌿
Theme: Forests and Economies
Forests are not just stretches of greens, but the living breath of our planet, quietly sustaining life in ways we often fail to see. From sustaining life, nurturing biodiversity, to supporting livelihoods across the globe. From carbon sequestration and climate regulation to water security and ecosystem stability, their contributions remain invaluable.
This year’s theme highlights the need to recognize forests as key natural assets that underpin economic resilience and human well-being.
Strengthening conservation, promoting sustainable use, and adopting science-based management are essential to ensure that forests continue to provide critical ecosystem services for future generations.
🌱 Protect forests
🌱 Promote sustainable livelihoods
