Hello Everyone,
The wait is finally over. CSEA is organizing your sophos party on 21st April, 2022. The venue is Mini Auditorium and you're requested to reach there by 6:30 pm. No delays please for the smooth and fun conduction of events.

The guidelines are as follows:

1. The dressing theme of the party is ' TV Show Characters'. You can prepare your outfit/costume according to any TV show (Hindi, English, whatever) or Anime you like. It doesn't have to be extravagant, try to make something out of the clothes you already have. Applying makeup/face paint will also add to your outfit.

2. Everyone has to (it is compulsory) do a stage performance. It can be a group or individual performance. Performance can be a dance, song, skit, act, standup comedy or anything. The group size should be no more than 12 people.

3. We have some amazing prizes for the people who're going to out show everyone. Prizes apart from Mr. and Ms. Fresher, will also be based on costume, performances and other fun events about which you will be told later.

Hoping to see you all there!

Greetings Everyone,

We hope you all are safe and doing well!

For the very first time CSEA is proud to present a Quant talk by Bhavya Madan and Rishabh Jain. Bhavya has over six years of experience as a quant and has worked for firms like JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs in the past and is currently a Partner at Algorithmic Trading Group, Amsterdam. Rishabh has over two years of experience as a quant in Quadeye, Gurgaon.

Here are the details for the talk:
Date: 19th February 2022
Time: 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Venue: MS Teams (Link to the Team would be sent via email)
Eligibility: Open to all branches (2nd year and above)

Quant roles are among the most highly sought-after positions in the financial industry in the contemporary world. A quantitative analyst or “quant” is a specialist who applies mathematical and statistical methods to financial and risk management problems. They develop and implement complex mathematical models used by firms to make financial and business decisions about investments pricing.

Investment Banks and High-frequency trading firms (also known as HFTs) have open positions for the quantitative roles. During the intern/placement season, such firms visit our campus, and the numbers of such firms are increasing with every passing year.

Please find the attached form wherein you can fill questions regarding quant roles so that we could plan the talk accordingly.
