The Department of Computer Application, Girijananda Chowdhury University, Assam, successfully organized a workshop on “Mathematical Modelling & Problem-Solving for Research and Innovation with MATLAB & SIMULINK” on 13 May 2026 at the Main Academic Building. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with ELMAX Systems & Solutions and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.
The session focused on the importance of mathematical modelling, simulation, and computational problem-solving in modern research and innovation. Participants were introduced to the practical applications of MATLAB, SIMULINK, and SolidWorks in engineering, data analysis, system design, and real-world problem-solving.
The workshop was coordinated by Mr. Rajarshi Paul, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Application. Mr. Pickon Majumdar, MATLAB Application Engineer, and Mr. Sukumar Sahu, Application Engineer – SolidWorks, from ELMAX Systems & Solutions delivered insightful sessions on the topic and provided valuable exposure to industry-oriented tools and emerging technological applications.
The event aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices by encouraging students to explore computational technologies for research and innovation.
