The keynote speaker for the session was Dr. Sunil Kumar, Vice President of ISRT and faculty at KIMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Trivandrum, Kerala. He delivered an insightful and comprehensive talk on the biological effects of ionizing radiation, highlighting both deterministic and stochastic effects, radiation safety principles, and the importance of dose optimisation in medical imaging practice

Experiential learning in Breast Imaging was conducted at Arhi Hospital Jorabat, Meghalaya, with 5th semester students from the Department of Radiography and Advanced Imaging Technology, Royal School for Medical and Allied Health Sciences, Royal Global University.
This visit was designed to provide students with hands-on exposure to breast imaging techniques, with a special focus on the *mammography modality.* During the session, the students not only observed but also learned the technique of mammography, gaining valuable practical insights into breast imaging, positioning, and safety protocols involved in mammography examinations.
These visits help our students to connect what they learn in class with real hospital practice, giving them a better understanding of modern imaging methods and improving their skills and confidence.

Academic–Clinical Partnership for Advancing Radiology and Medical Lab Technology Education
The Assam Royal Global University (RGU) is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 22nd August 2025 with Matrix Diagnostic Centre, a unit of Apace Imaging & Diagnostic Centre (P) Ltd.
The centre is renowned for its expertise in Radiology and Medical Laboratory Technology, which will provide students of the Royal School of Medical and Allied Sciences (RSMAS) with invaluable opportunities for clinical training, internships, research collaborations, and academic exchange.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards bridging the gap between academic learning and clinical practice, thereby strengthening the healthcare ecosystem of North East India.
