Lecture Session on AI & ML in Hydrology

The Department of Civil Engineering, ADBU, in collaboration with IIC, ADBU, successfully organised a lecture session on “Introduction to AI and ML for Hydrological Applications” 💡✨

The session was delivered by Mr. Subhrangshu Purkayastha, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, who lucidly explained the emerging role of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in modern hydrological studies 🌐🧠

✨ Insightful Talk on AI & Higher Education ✨
Assam Don Bosco University had the privilege of hosting an enriching talk by Mr. Arup Baruah,
President, Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, ADBU,
on 28 January 2026.
The session focused on the India AI Impact Summit 2026 and highlighted the crucial role of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in building an AI-ready India.
Mr. Baruah shared valuable insights on emerging AI ecosystems, institutional preparedness, innovation-driven learning, and the responsibility of universities in nurturing future-ready talent. The interaction proved to be highly informative and inspiring for both students and faculty members of the University.
A meaningful step towards strengthening our vision for innovation, technology, and AI-driven education. 🚀🤖

Ankur Goswami
Ankur Goswami, Convenor of the Institutions’ Innovation Council and Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Assam Don Bosco University, delivered an insightful talk on “Prospects on Agro-Based Industries in Assam” as part of the Impact Lecture Series. This event, held on May 16th, 2024, was organized by Suren Das College, Hajo in collaboration with the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell.

The talk highlighted the future opportunities and sustainable practices within Assam’s agro-based sector, emphasizing the importance of innovation and community empowerment in driving economic growth.
