The 33rd Foundation Day of Krishna Ram Das (KRD) College of Education, Chhaygaon along with the Freshman Social Program of the newly admitted B. Ed. Trainees for the 2026-27 session were celebrated in the college on 1st September 2026.

The Chief Guests of the program were Prof. Tarani Deka, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of Bongaigaon University and Prof. Balendra Kumar Das, Hon'ble Pro Vice-Chancellor of USTM has been chaired as Guest of Honour.

The renowned singer of Assam and India and Donor Member of the college Dr. Sangita Kakati lightened the lamp of the program and offered a floral tribute to photos of her father Late Dr. Surendra Narayan Kakati and her mother Late Anjali Kakati, the donor of the college, along with the Principal Dr. Abhijit Dev Adhikary, the members of the Governing Body and the Teaching and Non-teaching staff of the college.

The Prof. Deka and Prof. Das addressed the newly admitted B. Ed. Trainees and has enlightened the Trainees with their powerful and motivational speeches. They have addressed the students and emphasized the ethical, moral, skill development of the Trainees and built a positive mindset in the work environment.

The President of the Governing Body Prof. Baneswar Das and the Principal Dr. Abhijit Dev Adhikary also addressed the Trainees and motivated them to work hard for a successful future and career.

The duo guests Prof. Tarani Deka and Prof. Balendra Kumar Das has also inaugurated the ISSN peer reviewed International Journal published by the college during the program and appreciated the efforts and dedication of the college towards research and publication.

The program ended with many colourful cultural programmes presented by the Trainees of 1st and 2nd year.

The 4th Annual Book Fair of Krishna Ram Das (KRD) College of Education, Chhaygaon is held today on 22-08-2026 in the college auditorium.

Numbers of Publishers have joined the book fair. The fair provided the B. Ed. Curriculum books, reference books, story, novel, collections of poems etc. and has targeted all sections of readers.

Numbers of private schools of Chhaygaon locality have participated in the book fair along with the college.

The book fair was inaugurated by a renowned Poet, Story writer, Author of Assam Prof. Bhukhan Kalita, a Rtd. Professor of Chhaygaon College.

The program has started with the inaugural speech by the Principal of the college Dr. Abhijit Dev Adhikary. Prof. Baneswar Das, the President of the Governing Body, was also addressed the newly admitted B Ed Trainees with his valuable speeches.

Today, 19-08-2026, the KRD College of Education, Chhaygaon has organised an Induction Program for the newly admitted B. Ed. Trainees of 2026-27 sessions at the college auditorium.

Prof. Purabi Baisya , HoD, Department of Education, Gauhati University was the Chief Guest and Dr. Tapan Dutta graced the Chair of Guest of Honour in the program. Their motivational speeches were greatly appreciated by the Trainees of both 1st and 2nd year.

Prof. Baneswar Das, President of the Governing Body and the Principal of the college Dr. Abhijit Dev Adhikary also addressed the B. Ed. Trainees with their valuable speeches.

Organised "A Oneday Workshop on Action Research and Preparation of 4 months Internship Assignments" on 31-07-2026 at the college Seminar Hall. Dr. Partha Phukan Mahanta was the Resource Person of the seminar. The Faculty Members and the 3rd Semester Trainees of the college attended the program.
The seminar reflected the skills of preparation of Action Research project as per new guidelines of Gauhati University and demonstrated how to prepare the various assignments during the Internship period.

Today, 29-06-2026, we have organised a Certificate distribution ceremony of 'Yoga' and 'Beauty Parlour' course under (Value Added Course) in our college auditorium.

The Trainees have successfully completed a 3 month certificate course on 'Yoga' and 'Beauty Parlour'. The President of the college Prof. Baneswar Das and Principal Dr. Abhijit Dev Adhikary was the chief guest and distributed the certificates to the Trainees along with the Faculty Members of the college.
