On the occasion of 557th Guru Nanak jayanti gurupurab,St. Soldier Divine Public School Garhshankar joyfully celebrated the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism. The event was marked with great enthusiasm and respect, reflecting the school's commitment to honoring diverse traditions and values.
The day began with a special assembly where students and teachers came together. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of reverence and spiritual upliftment.
The teachers embarked on a visit with students to the Gurudwara *Bhai Tilku ji*, seeking to deepen their understanding of Sikhism. They observed the rituals, listened to the gurbani, learned about the principles of equality and service. The experience offered valuable insights into the faith and its practices.
A key highlight of the celebration was the *chaa pakoda Langar*, a community kitchen where free food was served to everyone, regardless of their background. The entire school community, including students and all staff members, worked together to distribute Langar all amongs the people . The Langar provided a practical demonstration of the principles of equality and selfless service, which are central to the Sikh faith
Local community members, including parents, joined the Langar, expressing their appreciation for the students' efforts. They praised the students for their dedication and the warmth with which they served the community.
The school band led the Nagar Kirtan, creating a vibrant atmosphere as they processed through the community.
The director sir conducted the Ardass in the school, seeking blessings and guidance for the students. The event fostered a sense of unity and spiritual connection.
The school was honored by the gracious presence of the Director Mr. Sukhdev Singh and Principal Mrs. Shelly Bhalla, who paid tribute to the great martyr and encouraged students to follow the path of righteousness and selfness services.
The main principle of path is *kirat karo , Naam japo and wand chhako* .
