Successful Conclusion of the 3-Day Intensive Workshop on Comprehensive Review of Teacher's Companion.
SCERT Sikkim successfully conducted a three-day intensive workshop for the review of the Teacher’s Companion from 11th August to 13th August 2026 at the Conference Hall, SCERT Sikkim.
Key Highlights of the Workshop:
National Framework Alignment: The revision of the Teacher's Companion has been meticulously aligned with the progressive vision of NEP 2020.
NCF Integration: Special focus was dedicated to incorporating the core principles and guidelines of both the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF-FS) and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE).
Allignment of Holistic Progress Card with teachers companion: The review of the teacher companion was also deliberated upon its alignment with the Holistic Progress Card as it can serve as a tool for recording student progress and achievements thus contributing towards aiding the smooth implementation of the HPC. For the same, Mr. Kuldip Sharma, Cordinator of Assessment Cell, SCERT Sikkim provided a bird's eye view of the concept and current implementation phase of the HPC in piloted schools of Sikkim.
Collaborative Expertise: Bringing together curriculum planners, assessment specialists, and school-level practitioners ensured that the companion is practical, engaging, and directly responsive to classroom realities.
SCERT Sikkim remains steadfast in its mission to elevate educational standards across the state by equipping our teachers with modern, futuristic, and student-centric pedagogical tools.
The program was skillfully coordinated by Dr. Raju Sharma, Faculty at SCERT, with valuable support and collaborative contributions from members of the Assessment Cell and experienced educators with diverse school backgrounds.
