State Level Inter EMRS Cultural & Literary Fest 2025 concludes
Sept. 20, Pakyong: The two days state level inter EMRS Cultural and Literary Fest 2025 concluded at the premises of Tribal Research Institute & Training Centre, Assam Lingzey, Pakyong. The Inter EMRS Festival had the presence of four EMRS schools, namely; EMRS Gangyap, SMRS Swayem, EMRS Parakha and EMRS Suntoley. The two days culture and literary festival had on the first day literary events including Elocution, Extempore, Spell Bee, Debate, Kavya Path, Recitation, Quiz, Tribal Painting, Creative Writing, Traditional Story Telling and Story Telling.
The second day had events related to cultural activities including Cultural devotional group song, tribal solo song, instrumental music, group dance, group dance (Tamang selo) musical competitions by teachers and 2 D Visual Art.
The first day had Shri. Suman Gurung, Special Secretary, Social Welfare Department wishing the students the best for the two days performance.
Speaking on the valedictory function of the two days fest, Smt. Sarika Pradhan, Secretary, Social Welfare Department cm Chairman, EMRS Society of Sikkim and also the Chief Guest of the program congratulated all the students for their exceptional performance and urged them to strive towards excellence. She emphasized on the aspect of competitions and opined that winning and losing is a part of the cycle, but one should never be discouraged by losing or attain arrogance if they win. She urged them to study well and wished all the teams who secured first positions to do practice well for the national level competition.
The valedictory function had as Guests of Honor, Shri. Thinley Chankapa, Chief Engineer, Social Welfare Department and Shri Satyen Pradhan, Special Secretary, Social Welfare Department. The concluding day also had Smt. Bandana Chettri, Additional Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Shri. Subodh Kumar Pokhrel, Joint Secretary (Admin), Social Welfare Department, Shri. Ram Tamang, Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department as Special Guests.
The vote of thanks for the program was addressed by Shri. Prem Kamal Rai, Joint Secretary, Social Welfare Department.
