“Together we learn, together we grow.”

True to this philosophy, Harkamaya College of Education hosted a feedback session on 30th~April.
14 schools schools were invited where the college’s intern-teachers had undertaken a 45-day practical internship program.

LNJHS was among those schools. The school’s incharge, Ma’am Pempa Choden Lepcha attended the program and shared her feedback. Her suggestions and feedback was well appreciated by the august gathering.

We wish the intern -teachers all the very best for their careers ahead.

LNJHS conducted an awareness programme on Solid Waste Management during the morning assembly on 2nd May 2026 (Saturday), under the guidance of Mrs. Nisha Pradhan and Mrs. Binita Pradhan, Eco Club teachers. In the presence of the school’s incharge, Mrs Pempa Choden Lepcha and Mr PK Chettri.

The programme began with a morning speech by the students, followed by an address by Mrs. Binita Pradhan, who highlighted the importance of segregating biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste.

The session also emphasized key methods of solid waste management Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recover, and proper disposal promoting the idea of a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.

The programme concluded with a pledge on solid waste management, taken by all teachers and students, led by Mrs. Nisha Pradhan.

A special assembly was organized to bid farewell to the B.Ed interns who had completed their 45-day internship at LNJHS. The program was conducted under the supervision of the school in-charge, Ma’am Pempa Choden Lepcha.

Mrs. Seeta Pradhan (GT Arts) shared her valuable feedback and suggestions with the outgoing B.Ed intern teachers, reflecting on their work and experiences during their time at the school.

Cultural Program Organized by B.Ed Interns

With due permission from the Headmaster, Sir Kulzang Gyatso Bhutia, a cultural program was organized by B.Ed interns on 2nd April at Lower Nandok. Students actively participated in dance and singing performances.

The Headmaster and four esteemed teachers served as jury members and provided valuable feedback. The prize distribution was held on 6th April.

The program was successful and boosted students’ creativity and confidence.

Lower Nandok JHS celebrated Pre World Water Day on 20th March 2026 which actually falls on 22nd March (Sunday) in collaboration with B.Ed interns , teachers as well as students . The programme started with morning assembly speech by student of class 8 on World Water Day after which speech were given by B.Ed interns teachers focusing on importance of water conservation,steps to conserve water and this years theme for World Water Day that is ‘Water and Gender’.At last feedback was also given by Headmster Sir, Sir Kulzang Gyatso Bhutia.

Lower Nandok JHS held its first science activity of the year by organizing a Science Exhibition on 7th March 2026 (Saturday). The exhibition was held to mark National Science Day, which is celebrated every year on 28th February to honour the discovery of the Raman Effect by the great Indian physicist Sir C.V. Raman, for which he received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. Due to holidays and to give students enough time to prepare their models, the programme was conducted on 7th March.

Students from Classes VI to VIII actively participated by preparing different science models and projects. The exhibition was visited and appreciated by the Headmaster, teachers, B.Ed trainees, and students. The programme was initiated by Mrs. Nisha Pradhan and Mrs. Binita Pradhan, under the guidance of the Headmaster, Sir Kulzang Gyatso Bhutia.

The exhibition aimed to encourage innovation, hands-on learning, and confidence among students. It was a motivating experience that encouraged the students to explore science with curiosity and creativity for future learning and discovery.
