Dina Sanichar (1860-1895) was a feral kid, completely isolated from human beings. It is believed that he was bought up in a wolf cave.

A group of hunters discovered him and was brought to the local district magistrate and collector. He was then sent to a local orphanage where he walked with all fours and ate raw meat. He never learned to speak but could make a wolf sound. He died with tuberculosis.

History was restored after almost 1600 years.

It’s a momentous day for our country's education sector. At around 10:30 AM today, the new campus of the Nalanda University was inaugurated at Rajgir, Bihar, India.

Nalanda has a strong bond with our glorious past history. This university in the past attracted scholars from diverse parts of the globe including China, Korea, Japan, Tibet, Mangolia, Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia. Its library "Dharma Gunj" had more than 90 lakhs handwritten palm leaf manuscripts making it the world's richest source of knowledge. Aryabhatta, the inventor of zero, was also one of the great educators at Nalanda.

WHO DESTROYED NALANDA UNIVERSITY?
Around the 1190s, this glorious university fell victim to arson by BAKHTIYAR KHILJI who is also responsible for setting fire burning for almost three months.

WHAT SHOULD WE LEARN FROM IT?
It is better to live in our own culture and tradition rather than following foreign traditions.

What should we choose, NEWS REPORTING (NR) OR INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM (IJ)?

Let me first differentiate between the two, NR means simply the presentation of news and timely information covering the events going in and around a certain region. In IJ the reporters deeply conduct research and enquiries on a single topic of interest like crimes, scam, corruption or corporate offense.

The major aim of IJ is to bring the truth in the public domain, which the public figures want to keep hidden. This involves intensive research and can be trusted. In IJ there are mostly five components, research, analysis, reporting, editing and presentation.

The media houses both printed and digital should change their approach of journalism.
