🎯 Pre-Placement Mock Test Successfully Conducted!

The Department of Civil Engineering & T&P Cell, Mewar University successfully organized a Pre-Placement Mock Test on 20 August 2026 for B.Tech Civil Engineering students.

👨‍🎓 20 students from 3rd & 4th Year participated and were assessed on Aptitude, Technical & Reasoning Skills to strengthen their preparation for upcoming placement drives.

The students displayed great enthusiasm, discipline and active participation. 🚀

Orientation Programme for First-Year Engineering Students 🎓

A warm welcome to the newest members of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology at Mewar University! 🌟

An Orientation Programme for newly admitted first-year engineering students was organised to familiarise students with the university, academic environment, student support systems, and the opportunities available during their journey with us.

The programme began with a welcome address by Prof. Vinesh Agarwal, Dean, Engineering, followed by insightful addresses from Prof. Deepak Vyas, Dean Academics, and Prof. H. S. Rawat, Dean Student Welfare, who guided students on academics, discipline, student welfare, and campus life.

A comprehensive presentation was delivered by Kapil Nahar, Deputy Dean, Engineering, covering important aspects of the engineering programmes, academic processes, opportunities, expectations, and student support. He also addressed the queries and concerns of the newly admitted students, helping them begin their university journey with greater clarity and confidence.

The session was ably anchored by Cadet Chitfal Naik, B.Tech 2nd Year, adding energy and professionalism to the programme.

The presence of all Heads of Departments of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology made the programme more engaging and informative for the students.

Industrial Visit to Kalisindh Thermal Power Plant ⚡🏭

The first-year engineering students of Mewar University had an enriching industrial visit to Kalisindh Thermal Power Plant, Jhalawar, providing them with valuable exposure to the functioning of a large-scale thermal power generation facility.

During the visit, students gained practical insights into power generation, boiler and turbine systems, electrical power generation, cooling systems, control mechanisms, safety practices, and overall plant operations. The visit helped students connect their classroom learning with real-world industrial applications and understand the role of engineers in the power sector.

The visit was coordinated by Mr. Kapil Nahar, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Mr. Deepak Joshi, Head – Electrical Engineering, with the objective of providing students meaningful industry exposure at an early stage of their engineering journey.
