Ignite 7.0 brings to you the flagship Quiz competition IGNE the Sci-Tech quiz, for the fifth time after the first four editions of this quiz. This quiz is designed to generate students' interest in competitive quizzing while also providing a sound knowledge of sci-tech happenings. With topics ranging from inventions, discoveries, scientific concepts, tech gadgets, and devices, this quiz is one to watch out for.

Blender is an open-source, completely free 3D creation pipeline for artists!
You can create realistic 3D models, animations or use it for Simulations, Rendering and Video editing
The events team will also reveal the theme of the modelling competition during the workshops. The students will have one week to familiarize themselves with Blender and sculpt the model according to the given theme. The winners of the modelling competition stand to win prizes of up to ₹2500.

Now a days if we talk about individual or any businesses, everyone is using soft-copies rather then hard of any documentation beacuse its easy to use, handy, small, convenient and can be shared and created at any time or place. And there are multiple applications available also to do so.
For making a scanner we need to create a code or we can say an computer vision algorithm which can help us to process any image file.

Building a document scanner with OpenCV can be accomplished in just three simple steps:
Step 1: Detect edges.
Step 2: Use the edges in the image to find the contour (outline) representing the piece of paper being scanned.
Step 3: Apply a perspective transform to obtain the top-down view of the document.

Ever imagined a situation where you would have to give an image as an input to your computer instead of a text? Doesn't this situation come up multiple times in our daily life? This comes under image processing. OpenCV is a library for image processing, using which we can develop real-time computer vision applications. OpenCV is all that we need for editing images, detecting color, and joining images using python.

Ignite in collaboration with Mean Mechanics, the Robotics club of IIT Gandhinagar is here to teach you all that you need to know to get started with this OpenCV.

After the completion of the workshop, every participant will be working on a problem statement of his own. The ex*****on of the same will be judged as a competition with prizes up to Rs. 2000. Also, find the event poster attached herein. This is an opportunity not to be missed!

𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗘 , the annual tech fest of IIT Gandhinagar, this year will be held on 𝟮𝟭-𝟮𝟮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬. As part of IGNITE, we will be having an event '𝗕𝗼𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝘀' which will witness robots made by different teams fighting against each other inside a ring.

We invite teams to be part of this exciting event which has grand prize money of ₹ 𝟱𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬. The teams will be provided funding of ₹ 𝟰𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 to build their robots and are expected to complete them by 𝟮𝟬 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬.

A team can have a maximum people of 𝟳 from any discipline so that more people participate to earn knowledge and can compete to win the prize money. The teams will be guided by team IGNITE and professors while building their robots.
