As part of the nationwide 'Jug Jug Jiyo Abhiyaan', launched on the occasion of the 16th Indian Organ Donation Day, NIPER Ahmedabad organized an Organ Donation Pledge Ceremony on 04 August 2026.

Faculty members, officers, staff, and students came together to take the pledge, reaffirming their commitment to spreading awareness about organ donation and inspiring society to embrace this noble, life-saving cause.

Every organ donor has the power to save multiple lives and leave behind a legacy of hope that lives on through the recipients.

NIPER Ahmedabad successfully organized a Two-Day Hands-on Training Program on "Synthesis and Characterization of Peptides" (30–31 July 2026) under the leadership of Prof. Shailendra Saraf, Director, NIPER-A.

This event is conducted by the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, featuring expert-led sessions by Prof. Bichismita Sahu (Head of Dept. of Medicinal Chemistry), Dr. Nitish Sharma (Faculty, Dept. of Pharmaceutical Analysis), and participation of undergraduate students, research scholars, academicians, and industry delegates for an intensive learning experience focused on peptide synthesis and characterization.

The workshop provided an engaging platform for skill development, scientific interaction, and knowledge exchange. Overall, the training program reflected NIPER Ahmedabad's commitment to fostering excellence in pharmaceutical education and advancing hands-on research training for the next generation of scientists.

The event was graced by Director NIPER-A, Dean-NIPER-A, Associate Deans-NIPER-A along with faculty, students and scientific staff of NIPER-A.

The NIPER Ahmedabad Library, in collaboration with the INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhinagar, successfully organised a Training Programme on Research Policies for Shodhganga, ShodhShuddhi (DrillBit), ShodhGangotri, and ShodhChakra.

The training program was inaugurated by Prof. Shailendra Saraf, Director, NIPER Ahmedabad. The sessions, which were conducted by Sh. Manoj Kumar K, Scientist-F (CS), and Dr Abhishek Kumar, Scientist-F (CS), from the INFLIBNET Centre, who provided valuable insights into national research support services, plagiarism detection, electronic thesis submission, research proposal repositories, and the effective utilisation of ShodhChakra.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and research scholars, reflecting NIPER Ahmedabad's continued commitment to promoting research excellence, academic integrity, and scholarly communication.

Prof. Shailendra Saraf, Director, NIPER Ahmedabad participated in the MedTech-focused discussion, "Gujarat to Global: Empowering the MedTech Ecosystem," organized by GRIT & EPCMD on 23 June 2026.
During the session, he shared his views on the talent gap, funding models, and the development of shared infrastructure for R&D and Testing. He invited the MedTech industry to collaborate with NIPER-A on joint R&D and other scientific and testing solutions.

We are pleased to share that Prof. Shailendra Saraf, Director NIPER-Ahmedabad participated in the Technical session of the National Workshop on “Grassroots Innovation Pathways-From Local Resilience to National Advancement” on 19th–20th May 2026, organised by NITI Aayog, in collaboration with GUJCOST and National Innovation Foundation (NIF).
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Science & Technology, Government of India, as Chief Guest.
The discussions highlighted how inclusive innovation, supported by collaboration and community engagement, can create meaningful social impact and contribute towards a more resilient and sustainable future.

MoU Signed between NIPER Ahmedabad and ShodhChakra is a comprehensive digital platform for managing the entire research lifecycle, including researcher profiling, literature discovery, collaboration with supervisors, progress monitoring, and more.
