About us:
Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE), established in 2010 is a brainchild of the then CM of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modi. He wanted to establish an institute which would produce world class teachers and export them. At a time when the world is facing shortage of teachers, he wanted India to lead from the front. If you send a businessman to a foreign land, he controls dollars, but if you send a teacher s/he would control the whole generation Modi used to say. Narendra Modi is one of the few such visionaries who thought that 21st century education would not just consist of a degree but an all inclusive setup, and hence the idea of innovative, residential, integrated degrees was brought in to existence. To lend a material shape to the best educational philosophies from across the world, a team of experts led by legendary Indian academician and philosopher Shri Kireetbhai Joshi and other scholars of national and international stature came together to design the curriculum of IITE. Our Vision:
To nurture teachers of tomorrow with the transformative knowledge of Indian tradition and usher in a new era of teacher education, focusing upon the integral development of teachers. Our Mission:
To provide integrated courses in teacher education, marked and defined by value-education, global outlook, and interdisciplinary.

NSS Volunteers in Action | Talent, Creativity & Spirit of Service

✨ Celebrating the energy, talent and enthusiasm of our NSS students!

On the occasion of NSS Day – 24th September, NSS volunteers of Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE), Gandhinagar actively participated in a vibrant series of competitions and creative activities. 🇮🇳

From 📝 Essay Writing and 🎤 Elocution to 🌸 Rangoli, 🎨 Poster Making, 📜 Sanskrit Shloka, 🎶 Solo Singing and 🎭 Mono Acting, our students showcased their creativity, confidence, cultural expression and communication skills.

Every performance reflected more than talent — it reflected the NSS spirit of discipline, teamwork, self-expression and service to society. ❤️🇮🇳

The activities were conducted with the support and guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor & Patron Dr. Mukesh Patel and Registrar Shri Jatin Bhatt, with the presence of Dr. Kamal Kumar Kar, Regional Director, Regional Directorate of NSS, Government of India.

👏 Special appreciation to Dr. Keval Gadani and Dr. Archana Patel, NSS Programme Officers, and Dr. Darshana Likhada, NSS Programme Coordinator, for their valuable coordination and efforts.

“NOT ME BUT YOU” — Celebrating Service, Talent & Youth Power!

✨ When talent meets the spirit of service, every stage becomes a platform for nation-building!

The Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE), Gandhinagar celebrated NSS Day – 24th September with enthusiasm, creativity and the vibrant participation of NSS volunteers. 🇮🇳

The programme was graced by the presence of Dr. Kamal Kumar Kar, Regional Director, Regional Directorate of NSS, Government of India, whose participation added special significance to the celebration.

The event was held under the inspiring leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor & Patron Dr. Mukesh Patel, with the valuable support and guidance of Registrar Shri Jatin Bhatt.

👏 Special appreciation to Dr. Keval Gadani and Dr. Archana Patel, NSS Programme Officers, for their dedicated efforts in organizing and nurturing the spirit of NSS among students.

🤝 Dr. Darshana Likhada, NSS Programme Coordinator, played an important role in coordinating the programme and facilitating the active participation of NSS volunteers.

From words to art, from melody to performance, every activity reflected the NSS spirit of service, self-confidence, teamwork and social responsibility.

The Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE), Gandhinagar, through its School of Special Education, in collaboration with CRC Ahmedabad, is organising a meaningful programme on the occasion of International Day of Sign Languages 2026.

The initiative highlights the importance of inclusive education, accessibility, communication and empowerment of persons with disabilities—building a society where differences are respected and every learner gets an equal opportunity to learn, express and participate. 🌍🤝
