Anxiety can often lead to a person feel way too overwhelmed to even keep a check on their meals. However when it comes to anxiety, it’s important to make sure to provide your body enough fuel to keep fighting and sustain stressful days. While food isn’t the only treatment, it can help you go a long way in improving your lifestyle and in turn eliminate the day to day stressors. No matter how difficult it gets, giving your body the nourishment it requires is always a crucial step in recovery. Your body may have different ways of comforting itself and it’s absolutely okay if one of them is eating. A lot of times people suffering from anxiety feel guilty after indulging in their comfort food. There’s no need to do so as you need to listen to what your body needs! Last but not the least, it’s advisable to consult a professional if you feel your symptoms are developing severely.

Believing in yourself affects everything you do. From your relationship with yourself to your relationships with others. In the choices you make and in the dreams you see. How you view yourself, how you measure your value, how you assess your potential and how you determine your worth. However, we make mistakes in understanding ourselves by letting others determine our value and worth. We let others write our stories. We start to take on the identity others attach to us and make choices based on that. This is an unconscious process which takes place without our awareness. Which is why, we need to consciously put in efforts to not let anyone decide what we are capable of. You are surely meant for great things, just keep believing in yourself!✨

People with a strong sense of self-efficacy:
1. Develop deeper interest in activities they participate.
2. Form a stronger sense of commitment to their interests and daily chores.
3. Recover quickly from setbacks and disappointments.

Self-efficacy in all forms influences our thoughts, emotions, actions, and motivation. Therefore, it is important to focus on developing our self-efficacy. Here are few tips to help you do so-
1. Use positive affirmations in the right way.
2. Identity what you're good at.
3. Learn to accept compliments.
4. Don't kick yourself when you're already down. Unfortunately, this is what we're likely to do; when our self-esteem is low, we tend to damage it even further by being self-critical.
5. Keep reminding yourself your real worth.
Building up self-esteem can be difficult but the value it adds to your mental health is very crucial. The first step to success is believing in yourself.✨

TW- Mention of su***de
When someone close to you reveals that they can’t take it anymore, and want to end their life, it can come as a rude shock, but what you say or do next will make all the difference. That’s why it’s always helpful to know what to say and what not, so that you don’t end up making the situation a lot tougher for someone unable to cope up with their suicidal thoughts. The important thing to remember is that someone who is suicidal is already feeling their worst, so just by saying something you can make a world of difference because you've shown them you care. In fact, asking about suicidal thoughts or feelings won't push someone into doing something self-destructive. In fact, offering an opportunity to talk about feelings may reduce the risk of acting on suicidal feelings. Moreover, simply listening can be helpful as well. It’s also important to talk to the person in the same way you have always done – they’re the same person, and letting them know your relationship is stable can be very important. A glimpse of positivity can help them go a long way, take the opportunity to be that warmth for them!

TW- Mention of su***de
This is specifically for the readers who have had suicidal thoughts or were in a bad phase to attempt it- to anyone out there who’s hurting- it’s not a sign of weakness to ask for help. It’s a sign of strength. It’s important to recognize that su***de won’t take away the pain, it’ll just pass on to someone else. Regardless of how bad you think the chapter of your life is going, you have the power to say that ‘this is not how my story will end.’ We know that you might not want to believe this but we assure you that the world is a better place with you in it. Your epic story of tomorrow can’t be written if it ends today. Your friends and family can’t protect you if they don’t know you need it. Ask for help to fight another day as even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.
This is for the people who are in touch with someone who is suicidal- Su***de is preventable, we have to remember that. That’s why we have to take more action to let know their lives are important because when suicidal thoughts are at their strongest it’s hard for people to see their own worth.

TW-Su***de
“Regarding the question of su***de, keep it a question. It’s not really an answer.” – Peter McWilliams
September is National Su***de Prevention Month. Also known as Su***de Awareness Month, the month shines a spotlight on a topic not often talked about. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has designated September as National Su***de Prevention Month. Throughout the month of September, NAMI will highlight “Together for Mental Health,” which encourages people to bring their voices together to advocate for better mental health care, including a crisis response system. NAMI wants any person experiencing suicidal thoughts or behaviours to have a number to call, a system to turn to, that would connect them to the treatment and support they need. While su***de prevention is important to address year-round, Su***de Prevention Awareness Month provides a dedicated time to come together with collective passion and strength around a difficult topic. The truth is, we can all benefit from honest conversations about mental health conditions and su***de, because just one conversation can change a life.
Learning about su***de prevention during the month of September is a great way to educate yourself and others. If you or someone you know needs emergency assistance, here are few websites/numbers that can help- befriendersindia.org, 1-800-784-2433, 1-800-273-8255.

It’s sad to hear that people still use someone’s sexual orientation as an insult and make a joke out of it. Being bullied merely for ‘being who you are’ leaves your self-image and mental peace in shambles. Confronting such people and being repeatedly in such situations can be exhausting and mentally draining. However difficult it may seem at the moment, look back with the utmost confidence and remind yourself that there are people who love you exactly for ‘who you are’. Everyone is worth being respected. You are definitely not what these bullies make you feel about yourself. You have a greater purpose in life and these bullies are just a speed-breaker in your journey. Talk to people, be heard, your voice and ‘quirks’ matter.
