🕯️ Ashura 🕯️
On the 10th of Muharram, our hearts turn to Karbala — a place where truth stood against tyranny, and where Imam Hussain (RA) gave everything to uphold the values of Islam, justice, and human dignity.
📖 QUR'ANIC VERSES (Relevant to Imam Hussain's Sacrifice):
🔹 “Do not think of those who are slain in the way of Allah as dead. Nay, they are alive, with their Lord, receiving sustenance.”
— Surah Aal-e-Imran (3:169)
→ This reflects the eternal life of martyrs like Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions.
🔹 “Say: I do not ask of you any reward for it but love for my near relatives (Ahlul Bayt).”
— Surah Ash-Shura (42:23)
→ A command to love and honor the family of the Prophet ﷺ, especially relevant on this day.
📜 HADITH (Relating to Hussain’s Martyrdom):
🔹 Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Hussain is from me, and I am from Hussain. Allah loves the one who loves Hussain.”
— Tirmidhi, Hadith 3775
🔹 “The master of the youth of Paradise are Hassan and Hussain.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim
→ Imam Hussain (RA) was no ordinary man — his sacrifice was of the leader of the youth of Paradise.
→ Imam Hussain (RA) embodied this level of sabr (patience) in Karbala — witnessing the martyrdom of his sons, brothers, and companions but never giving in to falsehood.
🗨️ SAYING OF IMAM HUSSAIN (AS):
“I did not rise to spread evil or oppression. I rose to reform the Ummah of my grandfather, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. I only desire to enjoin good and forbid evil.”
This was not just a battle — it was a mission of moral revival.
🤲 Final Reflection:
Karbala is not just a place.
Ashura is not just a date.
It is a timeless call to conscience, reminding us to always stand for truth over fear, dignity over disgrace, and justice over silence.
May we live with the courage of Imam Hussain (RA)
