Gurukul Indian Music Foundation A PERFORMING ART ACADEMY The foundation will also provide musical instruments which are not available locally.

A music and performing art organisation situated in Coochbehar,West Bengal.Young students are groomed in the traditional Guru-Shisya parampara by able teachers.Emphasis is given mostly on Indian Raga music and Tala system along with western music system. Presently vocal classical,light vocal,tabla,guitar,sitar,sarod,flute and violin faculties are available.Monthly basis class along with workshops(CONDUCTED BY REPUTED FOREIGN MUSICIANS from time to time) on the above mentioned faculties are done under the strict vigil and guidance of able teachers from Kolkata and Guwahati(from renowned Proffessors and Artistes).Annual concerts are held in which the students of Gurukul Indian Music Foundation gets a platform to showcase their talent along with well established and reputed artistes. Monthly students' concerts are also held which is known as ''Grooming Class''which aims at the training of the students' ability to perform.Students' are also guided to perform for National Scholarship exams,Radio competition/audition,Youth festivals,Rabindra Bharati University exams(Distance Course)both theory and practical.Special students showing considerable progress will be given a chance to perform for FM radio channels with proffesional audio studio recordings.Listening sessions will also be held along with the grooming of microphone and acoustic sense.Also grooming based on present day internet use and it's application on how to showcase your talent globally via internet by special trainers with international experience. Monthly assessment and yearly gradation test will be done to keep an eye on the students' progress which will be taken by Special examiner from Kolkata,Benaras,Mumbai,Bangalore,Guwahati etc.
