It was a privilege to host the ASISC Northern Region Fr. George Hess SJ Memorial Literary Competitions 2026 and welcome some of the finest young literary talents from across North India.

Sharing a few memorable moments from the event—capturing the enthusiasm, talent, competition, camaraderie and countless smiles that made the day truly special.

A heartfelt thank you to all the participants, teachers, judges, ASISC officials, zonal coordinators and guests for making the event a grand success.

Standing in the beautiful gardens of The Elgin, Darjeeling—a place where history, heritage and timeless elegance come together. 🌿✨

Built in 1887 as a grand Manor House and once the summer residence of the Maharaja of Cooch Behar, The Elgin has witnessed generations of history in the heart of the Himalayas.

For nearly a century and a half, these walls, gardens and corridors have preserved the charm of a bygone era—royal connections, colonial elegance, Burma teak furniture, crackling fireplaces and stories that continue to live on.

🇮🇳 Dear JCS Family,

As we celebrate Independence Day, let us remember the martyrs who gave their lives for our freedom and the countless civilians who suffered the pain, loss and displacement of Partition. Their sacrifices remind us that freedom came at a great human cost.

The true spirit of Independence is not just in celebrating our freedom, but in using it responsibly—to think freely, learn continuously, respect one another and contribute meaningfully to society.

At JCS, our teachers carry the important responsibility of shaping young minds, building character and preparing students for a changing world. Every lesson, value and example can influence the citizens our nation will have tomorrow.

Our students stand at the threshold of that future. The world they will inherit will demand skills, adaptability, creativity, technology awareness, critical thinking and courage to face global challenges. Their learning today will shape not only their own destiny but also the future of our nation.

Let us honour the sacrifices of the past by preparing ourselves to build a stronger, wiser and more compassionate India.

❤️When Humanity Outshone Stardom🕊🤝

In 1954, during her visit to American troops in Japan, Marilyn Monroe walked into a military hospital filled with wounded soldiers. Among them was a young man with a shattered spine, lying face down, unable even to lift his head to see his visitors.
Marilyn didn’t ask him to move.
She didn’t wait for a perfect pose.
She simply knelt, bent forward, and slid her smiling face under the bed so that he could see her.
The soldier laughed — a laugh he hadn’t felt in months.
And in that single moment, war, pain, and fame all faded, leaving only empathy and human connection.
History is not only made by battles and treaties, but also by such small acts of compassion that remind us what it means to be truly human.
A lesson for all of us: Greatness is measured not by how high you stand, but by how low you are willing to bend for others.

Honoured to be a Part of ASISC Zonal Debate Competition 2025 🗣️🏆 as the Chief Guest at St. Joseph's Convent School, Ferozepur Cantt.

It was truly inspiring to witness such young minds confidently express their views with clarity, conviction, and depth. The level of preparation, articulation, and critical thinking displayed by the participants was commendable. 👏✨

Kudos to the organizing team and heartfelt congratulations to all the participants and winners for making this event a grand success!

Konark Sun Temple is a 13th century CE (year 1250) Sun temple at Konark about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northeast from Puri city on the coastline in Puri district, Odisha, India. The temple is attributed to king Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga dynasty about 1250 CE.

The temple that exists today was partially restored by the conservation efforts of British India-era archaeological teams. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, it remains a major pilgrimage site for Hindus, who gather here every year for the Chandrabhaga Mela around the month of February.

Konark Sun Temple is depicted on the reverse side of the Indian currency note of 10 rupees to signify its importance to Indian cultural heritage.

Glimpses from five day training program on School Leadership conducted by ASISC for Principals of CISCE schools across India. It was great experience to interact with principals from all parts of India.

Kudos to Ms. Devika Nadig and Mr. Vijay Gupta for the enriching content and interesting delivery of each session. Thanks to ASISC, Fr. Joseph and Yasmin Mam for all the wonderful arrangements and plannings. Going back home with good memories and lot of take away.
