On March 10, in , the highest statue of lord Shiva was established. It is the Shiv-Shakti tower in about 20 metres above in South Africa. To built this statue, Nine artisans from India spent 1o long months building it, which is featured Lord on one half and mother Shakti on the other. What is the reason behind? At the present time there is no respect for female gender so it is the step to honour women and the mother of our traditional community. This Murthi that is half mother and half father, basically symbolising the equality of gender,'' said Karthie Moothsamy, the Chairman of the Benoni Tamil School Board.
