Empowering the future of women in engineering ✨

The IEEE YMCA SB, in collaboration with Shikshana Foundation and Hitachi Energy, successfully organized the “Empowering Women Engineers” initiative at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, with support from IEEE Delhi Section PES-IAS and IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Delhi Section.

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar distributed laptops to 7 meritorious girl students — Mehak Panchal, Nikita Verma, Payal, Simran, Soniya Kumari (J.C. Bose University) and Anisha Jha, Manvi (NSUT Delhi) — supporting their academic journey.

Each beneficiary also received a scholarship of ₹21,000 along with ₹6,000 internet support, ensuring uninterrupted access to digital learning. The initiative further provides mentorship, soft skills training, and career guidance to enhance overall development.

This impactful initiative was led by Dr. Rashmi Aggarwal (Associate Professor, JC Bose University & Chair, IEEE WIE Delhi Section), with the presence of Dr. Bhumika Makwana (Shikshana Foundation), along with respected Deans, Chairpersons, and faculty members.

Since its launch in 2020, the WiE program has empowered 200+ girl students across India, continuing its mission to bridge the gender gap in STEM 🚀
