Just CONSERVE what you HAVE! 🌍 (Atleast!)

Conserve, preserve or save are the interchangeable words used to elaborate that - "Human, start your climate action journey from where you are and what you have!!" πŸ’‘

Happy 2021!

PS, a QUIZ - Can anyone guess how many species are native or wild in the above pictures with their names?

Atleast give me one name & category, come on 😁

πŸ” What is that? 🧐 Is anybody familiar with this thing in your garden? Anyway - swipe left for the new addition in my 😍

🌱 Got them approximately a month ago and bought new earthen pots and revamped our balcony garden by giving up plastic pots.

Now I'm open to giving my old plastic pots (in reasonably okay condition) to someone who needs & one who can afford to pick up. 🀷

PS, my spinach is yet to grow old to be cooked but my "farmer to be" friend Amit, gave me this bunch of spinach leaves 😍

That's how I chill 🀣 Collecting Bougainville's stem without any stem cutter 🀘

My previous experiment of propagating Bougainville's plant through this method was successful, it now bears pink flowers and I did this stunt XD so that I can propagate white flowers as well. 😍

Method πŸ‘‡

1. Cut a thick stem of Bougainville plant
2. Make a slant cut and remove the bottom leaves & branches.
3. Submerge the slant cut - base of the stem in the water (preferably rain water) for the whole night.
4. Next morning, take them out and make a rooting hormone - mix honey & cinnamon powder in small portion and apply it at the base of the stem. Cover the slant cut properly.
5. Now time to dig them & plant in the soil. πŸ’š And water it well.

And keep a good monitoring 😁 here's for you :)

PS, please ignore my brother's bad commentary.πŸ™„πŸ€£

The satisfaction of working on the field is always more than the desk job. I'm glad that I was a part of the yesterday's event which shifted my perspective and made me realize the difference between picking up garbage from our own hands and making waste collectors/ rag pickers pick our waste. πŸ™

Everyone should do their bit in whatever capacity they can :) Follow for more such events. πŸ˜€

It was fifth time in our balcony garden that the mumma bird laid eggs and we saw them all growing. There were 4 babies but unfortunately, this poor kid died due to hunger or maybe could not fly. So when we pulled our hanging pot down, we saw this beautiful kid resting in his own bed. Then, we picked it out and kept on the edge of our balcony for the crows or pigeons to feed. Just helped in maintaining the ecosystem food chain. πŸ’«
