Literacy Beyond the Written Word- International Literacy Day, 8 September
Mrs. Manorma Arora, Academic Director, Tagore Group of Schools, envisions literacy as a holistic, universal journey—where every child deserves the confidence to articulate, participate, and be heard.
The confident speakers may readily find opportunities, but it is the shy, hesitant, and newly initiated learners who need patient coaxing to step forward.
Our talk shows and communication pieces are therefore deliberate pedagogical interventions, nurturing students to face the camera, stumble, falter, persevere—and try again. Yes, initially, there may be an element of rote learning; but the true achievement lies beyond memorisation, when children internalise the thought and spontaneously articulate it in their own words.
When the lines change, but the expression, conviction, and intent remain intact, we know that learning has transcended rehearsal and become self-belief. Just as our Grade 6A here
That is when our mission and vision find their most authentic expression: not merely teaching children to speak, but inspiring them to believe that they have something worth saying.

Our little stars of Grade 1 turned into their favourite story characters!

From fairy tales to famous fables, our kids dressed up beautifully and confidently spoke a few lines about their character. It was amazing to see their creativity, confidence and love for stories!
