Faridabad Education Council and District Administration of Faridabad join hands to improve quality of education in the district
A Letter of Understanding (LoU) was signed between Faridabad Education Council (FEC) and District Administration of Faridabad to formalise a public-private partnership towards the holistic development of Government Schools in Faridabad District. Sh. Krishan Pal Gurjar, Minister of State-Power and Heavy Industries, GOI and Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President- FEC and Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) signed the letter.

Through the ex*****on of the LoU, FEC and District Administration have agreed to take up four projects specifically: Facilitating Educational Development activities, Facilitating ‘Teacher on Call’ Programme, Supporting ex*****on of Shiksha Sangam Project, and Supporting ex*****on of Kaushal Faridabad Project.
The LoU was signed in the esteemed presence of Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI; Dr. NC Wadhwa, IAS (Retd.), Head-Governing Body- FEC; Dr. Samir Kumar Brahmachari, Chairperson, Sahaj Path Knowledge Foundation; Sh. Jitender Yadav (IAS), DC, Faridabad; Ms. Ritu Chaudhary, DEO, Faridabad ; Sh. Karan Kapoor, CMGGA (Chief Minister Good Governance Associate); Sh. Anand Singh, DPC; Sh. DC Chaudhary, Member, Governing Council, FEC; Ms. Sanyogita Sharma, Project Management Unit- FEC, and Director, Manav Rachna International Schools; members of FEC, Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation, and MREI.

Sh. Krishan Pal Gurjar said, “Skilling is an important component that can ensure employment to the citizens of the country and for this, students’ subject queries need to be resolved timely. It is appreciated that FEC has already started this with the Government schools in the sector of skilling, education and infrastructure.” He also reiterated that Faridabad has now become an Education and Medical Hub, and initiatives like Teacher on Call and Shiksha Sangam help us raise the bar of employment. He said, “There is no dearth of employment opportunities but skill in our students, and thus, focus needs to be shifted to this area prominently.”

Faridabad Education Council launches 'Skill Workshop' to strengthen the development of government schools

The Faridabad Education Council (FEC) has started a skill workshop to promote and implement educational development projects in the district. Sh. Jitendra Yadav, DC- Faridabad was the Chief Guest in the program wherein he shared that FEC and District Administration should cooperate to strengthen the development of government schools in Faridabad. He also emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in all relevant aspects of educational development.

This workshop has been started with the participation of FEC and District Administration. During this, the idea of developing government schools into model schools through PPP (Public-Private Partnership) was discussed. Earlier, 27 schools were adopted under this project, but were disrupted due to the pandemic. Therefore, this project will be reconsidered. Under the skill workshop, IT and ITeS will be taught to the students of Class IX to XII. Students will have to attend workshops for three days per week, after which practical training will be given to the students in the lab in the school every 15 days. At the end of this 200-hour course, students will be given a certificate of 'SkillEd India'.

The district administration will work to strengthen the Teachers on Call program initiated by FEC. Apart from this, retired government school teachers will also be motivated to volunteer under this.

Faridabad Education Council launched the Program on 25th April 2020 in the auspicious presence of Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad.

The program has been successfully making the life of the students of of easier and better for the past one year and has now extended its wings to help the government school students of Palwal too.

Subject Queries through Teacher on Call Program

The 'Teacher on Call Program' by Faridabad Education Council had conducted a contest amongst the Students of Government School of Faridabad district.

The top 5 students who made the maximum calls with genuine subject queries between September and October months were given prize money while the top 15 students were given certificates of achievement.

The first prize was handed over to the student by the Honourable Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad, Shri Yashpal Yadav Ji, I.A.S. The names of achievers are as below:

Students of class VI to X of the Faridabad District can call on the Toll-Free number 1800 890 6006 for queries in Mathematics, Science, Social Science & English and will get connected to a well-qualified and experienced subject teacher, who would answer his/her queries over the call.

Hundreds of government school students have already benefited from this. We also invite passionate individuals to volunteer for the cause and spend a few hours in guiding these students on the helpline (from your home/office). To volunteer, please register on the link: https://bit.ly/fec2020

If you are a teacher (serving or retired) or a housewife (trained teacher background), you can volunteer for a few hours at your convenience to address the queries. You shall be provided with textbooks prescribed by the Haryana Education Board.

INCLUSIVE AND QUALITY EDUCATION FOR ALL … ‘Teacher on Call project’ comes to Faridabad, Haryana!

The ‘Teacher on Call’ project that has been running successfully for three years in West Bengal was today launched for government school students (class VI to X) of Faridabad by Sh. Yashpal Yadav, Hon’ble Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad through an online launch program attended by around 150 educationists, corporate leaders, students and media representatives.

‘Teacher on Call’ is an educational help desk for the students with curiosity. In this program teachers are available on call - 7 days a week. Students of class VI to X of the Faridabad District can call on the Toll Free number 1800 890 6006 for queries in Mathematics, Science, Social Science & English and will get connected to a well-qualified and experienced subject teacher, who would answer his/her queries over the call.

While addressing the gathering, Sh. Yashpal Yadav appreciated the role of Manav Rachna in transforming the education landscape of Haryana. He complimented Sahaj Path Knowledge Foundation and the Faridabad Education Council for launching this project in Faridabad at such a crucial time and expressed hope that this would go a long way in improving the education standards and student performance in the region. The toll-free service will be beneficial for underprivileged children of the state. Thus, the project will identify and nurture nascent talent who otherwise may not be able to realize their full potential.

Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions shared that the project shall promote self-learning, creativity and will help nurture nascent talent which otherwise may not be able to realize its full potential.

The ‘Teacher on Call’ facility brings educational support to the first generation learners when schools are closed in order to meet the challenge of COVID-19 pandemic.
