On the occasion of World Anti-Tobacco Day, 31st May 2026, the NSS Unit of GCW organized a Poster Making Competition and Awareness Campaign as part of “Serve BRICS 2026: Volunteering for a Better Tomorrow”. The event aimed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of to***co use among youth and the community. Through creative posters and a door-to-door outreach program, volunteers engaged the public, contributed volunteer hours, and encouraged a to***co-free lifestyle.
The Poster Making Competition witnessed enthusiastic participation. The winners were: 1st Prize - Krishna, BTTM 1st Year; 2nd Prize - Tejaswini, BCom 1st Year; 3rd Prize - Sneha Saini, BCA Final Year. NSS PO Dr. Rachna Saini encouraged the volunteers during the awareness campaign. Worthy Principal Ms. Archana Verma congratulated the volunteers and advised them to continue organizing such awareness campaigns in the future for the betterment of society.
The campaign reflects the NSS volunteers’ commitment to health, volunteerism, and meaningful contribution to the BRICS volunteering initiative.
