Learning and singing rhymes boosts the confidence of young children. Rhymes are also a handy tool for engaging kids and keeps them away from gadgets.

**Rhymes contain sophisticated literary devices which empower children to understand more about tone, volume and patterns of a language. Your voice sounds different when you ask a question and when you describe an incident at office to your friends. Rhymes help children recognise these variations of human voice.

Nursery rhymes expand your child’s imagination. They take your child into a world of fantasy and play and develop your child’s visualization skills.

“A rhyme is a repetition of similar sounding words, occurring at the end of lines in poems or songs. A rhyme is a tool utilizing repeating patterns that bring rhythm or musicality to poems.” 

Scientific research has repeatedly confirmed that nursery rhymes are important for preschoolers and kindergarten children. Nursery rhymes help in various aspects of child’s development and their importance should not be underestimated. 

Rhymes improve a child’s vocabulary. Children even pickup words from rhymes, that are sometimes not common in day-to-day communication from rhymes and incorporate them into their vocabulary.

Rhymes help parents to introduce abstract concepts to their children. For example, teaching “Twinkle twinkle little star” to my kid, allowed me to introduce concepts like ‘up’, ‘high’ etc.

If you’ve ever witnessed preschoolers grooving to music, you can’t help but smile. They obviously love the feeling of moving to the tunes we play for them.

But music and dance are much more than just fun activities for children.  In fact, it’s very beneficial for preschoolers to participate in Dancing..

Children learn new things, like sounds, words and patterns through music. And with dance, they can explore and control their body movements.

* It helps cultivate communication skills
Bringing together kids with songs, rhymes and actions lets them discover how to interact and connect with others.  They develop listening and social skills that will give them self-confidence and better prepare them for school.

* Music and Dance allows kids to express themselves
Happy, nervous, tired?  Engaging in creative activities lets kids release their emotions and express their feelings. 

* Music and dance contribute to creativity and imagination
With children spending more time in front of screens rather than physically playing, music and dance encourages them to be curious and imaginative.
