Lakshya is a self help group of street children who have come together with a social responsibility to provide education and shelter to the street children. We are extremely potential youth who are trying hard to eke out a living through making jute bags and a paper bags in the city of Delhi. These boys who come into the city through the various stations of nations and stayed near New Delhi And Old Delhi railway stations for past 7-8 years and seen such a dark side of life that most of us can never believe. Most of them earn their living through pulling rickshaw, polishing shoes, rag picking and tragically they do this at a time when they should be going to school and playing.
Some of these elder children from the group were sensitive enough to realize the need to do something for their friends; hence Lakshya came into existence in 2004 as a self help group. Our main objective is to provide education and shelter to street children and to provide employment to rural women’s.
We are currently involved in lots of activities like raising awareness about various social issues through street play, role plays, and income generation activities such as making various type of jute bags, paper bags and these items are made of waste paper and waste cloth. The material that is sturdy, colorful, attractive and above all is eco-friendly to stop the usage of polluting plastic in the city.

VISIONS OF GROUP
Lakshya envisions an inclusive group for street children where they can get shelter, education and employment for which they came to Delhi and the rural and it also provide employment to rural women’s by making paper bags and can exercise their right to lead a life of dignity.

GOALS OF OUR GROUP
1. To provide education and shelter to the street children.
2. To promote the idea of an inclusive society for street children.
3. To facilitate the community an eco –friendly atmosphere, by making jute bags and paper bags.
4. To rehabilitee the street children and reform them in an ideal society person.
5. To make available support required by street children, who wish to set up their own means of employment?
6. To campaign for the practice of an inclusive livelihood for street children.
7. And main objective is to provide work of rural areas So that they can get employment.

HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT
We invite you to join us in working towards the fulfillment of our goals by giving us a chance to show the world that w can too can work, that we too are capable. Now currently we 15 boys are living together and we can take more children from stations but due to lack of sources, we can’t take them. If you support us we can take more children in our home Lakshya. You can buy our handmade products, made of recycled/waste paper and cloth or you can aware the more people across India and abroad or open your doors to employment us and the rural women’s be a part of the march towards inclusive livelihoods.
