“FMS Teachers Gear Up for Excellence Through CBSE Social Science CBP”!!🌱
Faridabad Model School, successfully conducted a CBSE Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on Social Science (Secondary) for teachers on 19 and 20 September, 2026. The programme commenced on an auspicious note with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome of the distinguished facilitator. The day-long workshop witnessed the esteemed presence of Director- Mr. Umang Malik, Principal- Ms. Nivedita Chatterjee along with school coordinators & subject teachers of FMS and various other schools from Faridabad and Gurugram. The session was expertly facilitated by Ms. Ms. Ekta Singla- 23 years of experience in teaching and academic leadership and Ms. Renu Kathpalia- 10 years of experience in education.
The two-days training programme was organised with the objective of strengthening teachers’ pedagogical skills and equipping them with innovative and effective approaches to teaching Social Science at the secondary level. The sessions focused on experiential learning, competency-based education, classroom strategies, assessment practices, critical thinking, and effective integration of contemporary teaching methodologies.
Teachers actively participated in interactive sessions, group discussions, activities and collaborative learning exercises. The programme provided educators with valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, reflect on classroom practices and explore ways to make Social Science more engaging, meaningful and student-centred.
The school management appreciated the efforts of all the educators for their active involvement and commitment towards continuous professional development. The CBP served as a valuable platform for teachers to enhance their teaching practices and contribute towards creating more competency-driven, interactive and enriching learning experiences for students.
