🔶Savitribai Phule Jayanti is celebrated on 3 January every year.
🔶She was born on 3 January 1831 in Naigaon, Maharashtra.
🔶Savitribai Phule was India’s first woman teacher.
🔶Along with Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, she opened the first girls’ school in Pune (1848).
🔶She worked for women’s education, Dalit upliftment, and social equality.
🔶She strongly opposed caste discrimination, child marriage, and the ill-treatment of widows.
🔶She also ran schools for widows and oppressed communities.
🔶Savitribai Phule was a poet and social reformer who spread awareness through her writings.
🔶She died in 1897 while serving plague patients, showing great courage and humanity.
