As parents and educators, many of us unknowingly prepare children for the world that doesn’t exist!
A world where they always win!
A world where they always come first!
A world where they are always protected from failures, struggles, disappointments and what not!
But this life isn’t real, is it?
Go back to your time and picture this,
Did you always win?
Did you always get what you wanted?
Did you face failure?
The silent answer to this is, a BIG YES!
We did! We all did!
And no matter how much we deny, it taught us a lesson!
A lesson to improve, a lesson to grow, a lesson to work even harder, and a lesson to not give up!
So, why are we not allowing our children to face the real world?
Why are we training them to understand that the world will always be on their side?
What are we scared of?
The reality?
One of the most heard questions and statements that we hear every day:
What IF?
What if she does not win? I will not make her participate in the competition!
What if she is not able to read? I will skip the sessions and take it later!
What if she doesn’t speak well? She will not like it. I will make her do it later!
Are we running away?
Being adults, this is the kind of example that we need to set?
Run away from real situations?
Doesn’t sound right, right?
How about, we let them fall, let them explore, let them fail, let them evolve into future ready citizens?
What do you say? ♥️
