Students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of D.A.V. Centenary College participated in the Yuva panchayat .
On the occasion of International Youth Day, students from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at D.A.V. Centenary College, Faridabad, took part in the event titled “Yuva Panchayat– Youth and Influencers Meet.”The objective of the program was to raise awareness among youth about the challenges of the digital age, cyber security, and social impact.
The chief guest of the event was Mr. Gaurav Gautam from the Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Cell, Government of Haryana. Renowned social media influencer and police constable Amit Yadav—popularly known on social media as “Vardiwala007”—shared valuable insights with the students on cyber safety, digital ethics, and the positive use of social media.Around 12 students from the Journalism and Mass Communication department participated in the program. They also had the opportunity to interact with other influential personalities, which helped them understand the practical aspects of digital branding, content creation, and impactful communication.
The Head of Department, Ms. Rachna Kasana, was present with the students and successfully coordinated the educational visit. Officiating Principal of the college, Dr. Narendra Duggall, appreciated Ms. Kasana’s efforts and stated that such educational excursions are highly beneficial for students of Journalism and mass communication.This event proved to be an inspiring experience for the students, helping them to prepare for future challenges.
